[WIP] Why this game is way worse than the 10 years old Red Orchestra 2 (except graphic and vehicle)

What soviet photos and already detroyed decades ago buildings have “copy right”?

Can the developer play some other similar background game for improving the game? It’s already bad that a new 2021 game has so many worse places than a 2011 game. And RO2 only took 1M and 2006~2011 for development.
The AI and its algorithm and computing power should get a great improvement in this 10 years. Why Enlisted are doing worse than a 10 years old game?

Also lack of community mods and addon is a great weakness. The community can bring much more fun to players, is that a bad thing?

BTW, I did not see they are going to improve anything since I believe they are more working on Normandy not Moscow, to get the game to OBT.

Current in Normandy’s some maps, the map outside borders is still a void. Completly not acceptable.

Well, I litterally lend out my account for some of my frinends for them to know and play the game, eventually to make them buy one. They are so disappointted that they just stopped playing after first few matches. Money is not a thing because we are running RO2 servers, costing thousands RMB each month, much expensive than CBT entry.
All RO2 players are waiting for “RO3”, and any other similar WW2 FPS for a replace. They should be the perfect target audience of this game.
If we do not do something, this game will just die.

That’s not what he ment. He ment that Darkflow now owns the game’s locations as copyright because if they were fully historically accurate, they would not be able to own the copyright.

A lot of those players have moved on towards PS, HLL, H&G, or other games.

The idea to replace the P3B with P4 or Marder is just silly, and I’ve spent a few weeks in the countryside around Moscow and Kiev over the last 2 years … the buildings from the era in small town ex-USSR still do look like that!!

I also bought all of these… But they are not satisfying like RO2…

Not have to be exactly real, just modify and make it some kind of real. Also have to modify to fit FPS environment. RO2’s maps are half real, half fake.

Well this game is not RO3. I too have a bunch of nostalgic games that died that I really want to play again (Robocraft from <2016, for example) but will never be able to play again.

And I have heard they want to push a new test phase next month. Don’t think it was OBT, but CBT for Normandy perhaps?

Yes, but a late stage of CBT. And they said if this comes to OBT, there will be no more big changes. Just new content. But now, the game mechanism is broken or lack of fun.

Yes, but this is a game, so should add more art work to create a more immersive environment.

maybe this is why. like you said, nostalgic make us looking things differently expecting something that enlisted was never designed to be…

although, i’m still happy with the result. as i said, it’s better than what i expected, and it’s just a matter of time i believe.

I myself feel more and more disconnected from the game. I just can not recommend a game where the diffrence between a new and old player is this big.

i don’t think the issue comes from newer to old people
but the overhall fight ammong everyone.

as we stated. asymetrical gameplay is a thing, but i think it can be adjusted by increasing bot behavior ( as they are doing right now ) add more content, and finish with the overhall incompleted mechanics,
rebalance perks introducing some sort of better premium squads, and perhaps new booster and in game cosmetic shop.

i’m sure a good game will come out from it.

If the bots had range-dependant aggro gain, they would become much more responsive.
Once that is in place, I think that the winrate would actually somewhat balance out.

Maybe add a few more diffrent paths the bots could take from point to point. Add “hot zones” for their path finding that the bots should evade if possible, or rush past as quickly as possible, as those zones would not provide enough cover for them.

Once the bots feel like “somewhat newb-ish players”, it would greatly negate the affect of playerbase diffrence on matches.

i’m not talking about bots that “replace” players, but bots within players, the “squad mates”.

make them more responsive, give them more features, i’m sure this things will work out, and make enlisted an unique title.

Well all these changes would apply to both. If you are running across an open area, you sure as hell are not gonna vibe there until you get shot. The AI would have that area marked as hot and would try to run past it with you as quickly as possible, instead of lagging behind.

i don’t think that soldiers " vibe " on a combat zone.
of course you don’t wanna make them extreamly overpowered at the point of making this game unenjoyable. but make them more responsive in order th be good at close and medium range. just like somewhat, soldiers of than?

as we said multiple times, this game brought many people because of bot squads and AI machanic. so, this is why i would say this game should relay preatty much on AI having the best mechanic out there.
making a whole new experience as battles are much bigger than any other game.

No, but you cannot easily copyright a real location map in your game, the vast majority of games do the exact same thing.

And please stop going on about features from a full game of 10 years old when this game is not even out of Closed Beta, of course it isn’t going to have the same content levels, Jeez!

In doing such, you basically further eradicate all standing you have and perhaps we don’t want you if you are going to be rude and compare a finished game to one very much still in development with a very disdaining tone.

Well, most my games I played are all based on the real place, I dont see even if the “place” , the “world” has copyright. Even in China, we still get semi real place games even we have a strict rules of mapping real world. I dont know why you think real place has copyright.

I bought this game or “entry” for nearly 60USD, and I dont see this game is going to improve itself, except from adding new guns or tanks, or do they? So Im here to give criticism and complaint to make them or players know how bad this game is, especially at this price. Moscow has nearly nothing new stuffs left. And why should a 2021 game worse than 2011? And why cant I compare, this game is already open to the public not via any NDA. The first impression of this game to me, and new CBT players is this kind of poor. Like Cyberpunk 2077, its first impression to public is so bad, that lose its reputation. If developer dare to release it to public, they should bare any reviews about its unfinished state.

Also, I just dont see even if this game is OBT, or even finished, can reach the level of RO2’s. It’s not some simple tweaks on weapon data, or even new maps can help. Enlisted is far behind RO2. It need multiple deep change and adding more fun features to reach the RO2’s level.
And this is CBT, where the game is nearly finished with few major changes.
