Winter War Campaign

I think this would be a great campaign with extremely close quarteres dense forest combat and entrenched bunkers.

And with a gold troop order we can enlist Simo Häyhä who is armed with M/28-30 an Suomi KP/-31 as his secondary weapon.

Submachine gun progression

Assaulter 1 Allies: (PPD-34 with 25 round box magazine)
Assaulter 2 Allies: (Thompson M1921AC with 50 round Drum)
Assaulter 3 Allies: (PPD-34/38 with 73 Round Drum)
Assaulter 4 Allies: (Fedorov Avtomat)

Assaulter 1 Axis: (Suomi KP/-31 with 20 Round box magazine)
Assaulter 2 Axis: (Suomi KP/-31 with 40 round Drum magazine)
Assaulter 3 Axis: (Suomi KP/-31 with 50 round coffin magazine and Muzzle Brake)
Assaulter 4 Axis: (Suomi KP/-31 with 71 Round Drum Magazine and Muzzle Brake)

And if you own the PPT-27 premium squad for Moscow you can use it in this campaign too.

This is so dump copy paste I don’t even know how to comment on it.

And the worst part is that I’d expect devs to do this.

Also how is moscow different from a winter war with lend lease german shit? (Because let’s face it, that’s how it will end.)

Thats the only Submachine gun the Finns had at the time and for good reason

I don’t see what’s the problem. There are many guns in game with multiple variants

Yeah, I can’t wait to unlock a weapon with almost the same model, almost the same stats but with one number higher. 1M exp well spend.

I just don’t want more campaigns til the ones we have get a thorough rework.

I think it’d work better as an event…it’d scratch the itch a lot of people have for the Winter War/Continuation War while also allowing the devs to show off some alternate maps (or maybe user-made maps?)

I think he’d make a great event reward…although he didn’t fight in the Continuation War, so it’d be better to offer a German soldier, maybe useable in either Moscow or Stalingrad?

Others have hinted that it would be a lot of copy-and-paste from existing campaign(s) and that’s a valid argument.

Events offer a thematic way to at least address some of these other theaters/campaigns without making us, as someone said, grind out a crap ton of levels…

historical error #1: Thomson in Winter war, USA dont lend lease to soviets in 1940

Historical Error #2: Assuming that in case there was a thomson it would be the continuation war
In that case, Hayha could not be there, because he never participated in the Second World War, only in the Winter War.

winter war or continuation war its only moscow 0.5/1.5

Winter War is part of the World War 2.

I don’t remember the US supplying Hitler’s allies, which the USSR was until the Operation Barbarossa.

Nah, during that time they also had the SIG M1920 and some early German SMGs - MP 18 and MP 28. Not to mention all of the Soviet SMGs that they had captured.

The soviets bought hundreds, probably thousands of Thompsons in the early 30s most were in use by the NKVD but were pulled into service in the winter war after the generals realized bolt action rifles were completely useless against automatic weapons despite the soviets 3 to 1 advantage.

Winter war will be a campaign in the year 2023 . Such as the french campaign 1940.
A lot of guns are already in the game.

Winter war pls no. 129222973 I guess

Winter war it’s not ww2 part
It’s only a minor war

M20 Bergman
MKMS
mp28

Think the 2 latter arrived bit late but dont think its problem with df

It is.
WW2 started in 1939 when Nazi Germany and Soviet Union attacked Poland. Everything from the September 1st 1939 till May 8th 1945 IS World War 2.

Wouldnt that mean that WW2 already started with the second Sino-Japanese war

Thats mean, ww2 already started with italian invasion of ethiopia

Some argue that it indeed is a case, and if we include the whole world, I think it’s a valid point.

But as for the WW2 in Europe, that is simple, the war started on the 1 September 1939, not on the 22 June 1941 as some people really want to believe.

As I understand it, world war happends when world powers are involved on both sides of the conflict. (So Fr & UK vs Ge)
