I Think That It Would Be Cool If Gaijin Entertainment Added A Winter War Campaign

I’m doubt it will be good:
There’s no PPSh, PTRS and PTRS, and finnish army totally lacked off semiautomatic rifles (do they have them at all?)

But i’m also think it’s gonna be the winter war for the next campaign, because of Sholokhov and Maroszek AT Rifles (both of them used in the winter war) in the mission editor, and they’re useless in the current campains.
And the finnish side will almost entirely based on captured weapons.

(Also, my analysis of the content editor has been wiped out by devs, so, it seems like i guessed it right)

I think it would be fun, especially since I main Soviets so bring it on :). Plus the Finns deserve some recognition, they were and still are great warriors!
A few things make me think this is a very real possibility;

  1. People have been asking for this for over a year
  2. War thunder just dropped a Finnish (sub) tech tree which also falls under the Gaijin umbrella, giving the Enlisted devs access to some of the unique tier 1-2 Finnish and Red army stuff they may not have introduced yet in Moscow.
  3. A couple of premium squads have featured Finnish small arms already (German Stalingrad assaulters kick butt!)
  4. The devs just dropped another campaign featuring the Western allies against a new axis faction, so going back to Eastern Europe for a Soviet campaign kinda makes sense.
  5. Also, like it is said on this thread, there are more Finnish things in the files that aren’t implemented yet :slight_smile: I hope both sides get ski troops!

I think it is inevitable they add more over the next year or so, don’t you think? With the evidence shown in the files and what Gaijin has been releasing, I think a Winter war (Maybe Continuation war) campaign is coming and I hope so! A unique tale to explore and learn more about from the Eastern Front. Technically not Eastern Front but its own events, but very related

Traces of the future campaign within the “Winter War” or the battles in Karelia in 1941-1944 have already been found in the game resources. Other forum users have already written about them above. But most likely this stage will be implemented as part of the “Battle for Leningrad” campaign.
P.S.
Of no less interest is the possible implementation of the “Battle for the Caucasus” campaign within the game, dedicated to the battles for the Caucasus in 1942-1943, when the Axis troops rushed to the oil deposits in the Soviet republics of Chechnya and Azerbaijan.

I don’t know why they flagged you for a valid concern. It wouldn’t surprise me if they add the MkB to even a Poland campaign just to make sure there’s an assault rifle in each campaign.

and im think its a realy big mistake broke historical acurasy
you know if they made enlisted supper historical accurasy only in this way enlisted will be better then battlefield 4 and call of duty vanguard

and you know for made game historical accurate you no need modellers or scripters you just need good historian - im think its not so hard

Okay, somebody should say it out loud and let it be me. Some players so eager for a Winter War not because they want Moscow 2.0 but because they want to shoot soviets as finnish. This is why they don’t care about possible content problems. Actually, suomi smg is everything they need. So don’t ask them about stuff this campaign should have. They don’t have answers, only a strong desire in their hearts.

probably recycled maps of moscow on the marenheim line would be soviets attacking fortified district

and the rest would just be to edit the map and remove all the buildings and change them for trees

aside, the cost of a new campaign is 250,000 dollars to 1 million, it would simply be the most boring campaign of all

and besides, there is no indication that finland appears in the game

I believe that is the case for many Wehraboos here yes. I plan on maining the Soviets as a veteran player and spanking the Wehraboo noobs and reversing history grows communist devil horn hehe :slight_smile:

There are indicators that either a Leningrad/Winter war/Continuation war campaign of some kind is coming. the indicators are similar to when people started gossiping about the Pacific.

War Thunder just implemented a bunch of low tier Finnish weapons which can easily transfer over to Enlisted. Heck, some of the cosmetic vehicle models are identical between the games!

I am a dataminer and there is only one Finnish machine gun (lahti l26), so

no, finland is not going to be a likely campaign

Well they already implemented the Soumi SMG in game tho for Stalingrad Premium assaulters? Also, someone else in a Winter war discussion mentioned 1930’s AT rifles that were used in the War?

UPDATE: Was watching the War thunder stream just now and someone just asked about Enlisted! Oxy said that with the amount of commitment it takes to implement new equipment for Gaijin as a whole, It wouldn’t surprise him if the Dark Flow team will take advantage of this to create an Enlisted campaign with the new stuff to save on resources… hmmmmm :slight_smile:
