Winchester1866 is trash?

It is almost impossible to kill enemies at long range, it is a bad weapon at medium range, it is only useful at short range, I think even the Hi Power is better than this weapon, more magazine, less damage and a much shorter reload time.

It’s neither trash nor good. It’s just unique. But there are definitely better rifles for BR1.

It’s funny that a few days ago I was thinking this was an OP weapon, you shouldn’t judge weapons by their stats.

Should get buffed and put at BR2 where it belongs. Make it a faster shooting/a bit less dmaging Soviet Winchester

idk what stats did you look, but judging by stats in euthy table gun is pretty bad compared to other rifles. 10.2 damage at 10m(AR damage), 0.39 dispersion(AR dispersion), slow reload and big recoil for what should have been fast firing weapon.

it is basically AR with 2-3x slower fire rate, 2-3x less bullets, 2-3x slower reload, ~5x recoil and bigger damage drop off.

Its just that the idea feels dangerous to add a “basically” semi auto with 10 + dmg. Its rater inaccurate for being a rifle and takes ages to reload.

Its not OP at BR1, but it almost brakes an unwritten rule that BR1 should stay clear of semi autos.

I think they should make it much more accurate and then move it to the br2, the bullets should be as accurate as other bolt action guns.

Well, ten bullets is good, 10 damage is pretty good for a weapon that can be called semi-automatic! I didn’t think the dispersion would be that bad! Most of the bullets miss, making it completely useless.

Why? It’s not like BR1 is facing only BR1. No, BR1 lineups can face BR2 where is potentially many semis. So I really don’t understand why should some prehistoric weapon get buffed just because it is semi.

It’s like you want everything to be dull, same and not unique.

I really don’t know what’s so bad about mediocre unique weapon.

Oh really then why does Soviets and Germany have semi autos at BR1? Someone forget about them

Beretta m1918/30 exists so the rule has already been broken

Well that’s just a semi auto SMG, well Winchester also isn’t shooting full rifle rounds, but Its just the 10 dmg that concern me - it one hit kills new players specifically only, maybe just maybe simply lowering its damage to 9.5 for example would be reasonable.

not really. in most cases you will need ~2 bullets to down enemy soldier even without vitality and there is still possibility that you will need third to finish the kill if you are unlucky. SA rifles usually down with 1 round in close range even enemy soldiers with vitality and you usually need 1 more round to finish off the downed soldier. so what you get is BR2(5 round) SA rifle that fires slower and has 2-3x more reload time and is more inaccurate. usually i consider BR2 rifles trash cause of low mag capacity, not to mention rifles that is nerfed version of BR2 SA rifle.

i would either go with SMG for CQC or BA for mid/long range engagement.

winchester 1866 is certainly unique, but i wouldnt play it in any match where i want advantage.

One thing to note about 1866 - 0.39 dispersion is not reduced when aiming down sights for some reason.
For every other gun in game, dispersion cone tightens when aiming, but not for Winchester 1866.

I wonder if this is intended.

this could be bug/oversight. could be worth it to report it on CBR.

I would like it to be made like a bolt action weapon and go to br3, high damage with high accuracy.

The gun is exactly what it should be for an 1866 year named weapon. This is perfect in BR1, it’s a super unique and rare semiauto in a BR1 that has next to 0. It needs no nerfs or buffs

It’s an old gun so it might be, but it also might not, i’ll let devs know

It’s a black powder rifle, firing a not-particularly-large round - the .44 Henry has a max velocity of <1200 fps - that IS in the range of more modern large caliber pistols!!

WTF u expect??

The visual recoil is also strange and the bullet will shoot in a way which higher than iron sight.
