Will the meta change with the weapon effect update?

We know that high RoF & magazine SMG and LMG is probably the best option that a player have, e.g. MG34 with PT mag, MG42, Ppsh, PPD, etc.

You can kill an enemy and aim to another target without even stop firing because of the clear visibility.

Now that there’s some new effect such as smoke after each shot, I think the meta will change.
Bolt action will be much more preferable while fast firing SMG/LMG (and full auto weapon) will be harder to use because you can’t change target as easily with new smoke view obstruction. They’ll need to stop firing to clear up the vision. Not to mention the recoil also will be harder to control.

Now they’re more similar to more realistic WW2 game.
It’s nice that they added this effect. Because without smoke as of now, shooting fast firing LMG feels like firing an airsoft gun with flash attached on the barrel.

Though some people say it’s too excessive.

New shot effects and sounds

This feature will be added to all campaigns in the game! We created new shot effects for different types of weapons, and we have also updated shot sounds in 20 Soviet and German weapons.

Probably not only for Stalingrad

I dont think because the last week him said they go to change the shooting only in stalingrad not in the rest of the game, now i know they change idea every day but i think is only for stalingrad

By experience, no one liked this in heroes and generals.

I expect people to actually hate this.

I talked with Keo about it and i think he said that the visual changes are for all campaign, while the damage will be exclusive stalingrad for testing

I doubt it will change the meta. To win you are supposed to spray in CQC while on the point, additional smoke won’t make it any harder.

Actually I’d say there is too much smoke on the video. I guess countersniping with my MG won’t be possible from now on.

god the developers really fucked over heroes and generals i hope the same doesn’t happen to enlisted.

every change so far that the community got " united " against was changed back right away.

imo there is nothing to fear, if we consider we cant all love the same woman.

I really hope they do not add too much smoke and muzzle flash to the point where you can’t see what you shooting at i do believe there have been a few games in the past i have played that have had that issue.

If these effects are added perhaps there should be an option to pick between the old effects and the new effects.

Jams could be so much better.

Good point actually even though it did take months to change some of those things so i suppose the devs do listen to a certain extent so that is good. I think so far they have done a very good job.

But game developers scare me they always seem to break my favorite games.

I don’t love women because that would be straight I’m gay.

greater recoil makes sense yes, but random shot deviation needs to be reduced, missing your perfectly on target shots at 10 meters distance is extremely frustrating, especially when using semi auto rifles.

Oh god your bringing back bag memory’s of heroes and generals…

However i did have a lot of good memory’s in that game until the developers fucked it so hard with a 12 inch dildo that it never really recovered.

Fucking reto breaking a world war 2 game with potential what a shame.
