Why they havent removed bots already?

It’s best if they made these bots like the skavs in the escape from tarkow game. They decided when to throw grenades, switched weapons when necessary, and massacred other players, including ourselves.
And you have a multiplayer game with the experience of a single player campaign all rolled into one on Hell difficulty.

can’t remember what update it was

but there was a time when this happened, and I could not believe it and was impressed, but have not seen it since

I was playing one time on Moscow campaign and have left my bots in the trench and one was on the little firing nest with sights on the attackers, and he was actually mowing them down with his lmg, and I looked back and was amazed, it looked like he had deployed his bipod and was just going to town, I was so impressed

but have never been able to replicate that, it’s almost like that one bot evolved for a split moment, I don’t know what happened

but that is the kind of thing that is needed, we put our bots in favorable positions and they know to take advantage

instead of this stupid thing where you put them in those positions and then they face the opposite direction and get shot in the back of the head lol, or jump around like monkeys making themselves obvious targets and giving away their positions

if the bots just knew how to take advantage of such scenarios, it would give us more confidence to place them in those positions

that one bot had over 10 kills on his own from that weird never seen before ai evolvement lol

Because WW2 was known for constant massive clashes.

Nice way to say that most people in this game are pure casuals.

Teamwork is well known in Enlisted.

Yeah. What should stop us? The casuals who can barely use a BA rifle (the service gun of almost all WW2 nations except the USA) or the 10x times more bots with stormtrooper aim?

BFV actually promoted squad play though.

do you remember the bots in CBT that went on the barrel every now and then, but could shoot accurately for hundreds of meters?

the team doesn’t split up. In enlisted, members of one team are close to each other. In BF, everyone runs where they like, and here are teams of bots and they run with us. is it free phrases? Depends on the campaign. The most deadly are probably in Moscow and the Pacific.

And I want them back. Anything better than the current plebs who look at the other direction while the entire German Army is approaching them from behind.

May I remind you that most of your team are not even players/ half of the campaigns are one-sided bot farms.

Because the maps are awfully small and unlike in BF, you mostly play for one objective at a time. What exactly do you expect if you have like three easy ways to the one objective?

At this point I dont know if you try to argue against yourself because I dont know how Enlisted makes PLAYERS be more teamplaying while yes you are mostly surrounded by braindead AI who can barely manage to walk and dont have any choice anyway.

1- one real player mowing down entire platoon of bots just 2 meter away with smg and no of them reacts
Yeah
Definetly not a hero shooter
2-According to your logic, every game you dont command soldiers must be a hero shooter
3- bf is not a hero shooter and cod games back in the days also were not a hero shooter even in singleplayer. There is a reason why call of duty 2 and cod waw is still praised and played and has tons of single player mods that significant number of people still plays it regularly (compared to other antiquated games)
Even doom 2 with mods still kicks hard after 30 years
4- you know what hero shooter really looks like ? Play some new or old doom or some titiles from boomer shooter revival like dusk, ultrakill or selaco

Most of all, I would like to go back to mechanics from CBT.
No damage normalization.
Return of the weapon jamming system.
Friendly fire from bombs and grenades.
Gore and an ocean of blood.
The gameplay was slower but more tactical.
The soldiers were crude, you could tell they were soldiers, not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Armour-piercing ammunition without an explosive insert passed through the walls.
The gray zone showed up immediately and you had no enemies on your back when you attacked the next point.
Airplane engines broke down when you had 110% power for too long. And at random moment it stopped.
There was also a moment when the engines in the tanks broke down, but of course, such realism did not like.
Bots could throw back grenades again. They could also decide for themselves when to throw a grenade, or a command system like in “Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway” could be or even some more advanced command system for bots.
If only they could be ordered to man field cannons or stationary machine guns.
A system for creating tranches for the engineering team that the bots dig on any given section.
Bots have a lot of potential. From the possibility of combining an RTS game with an FPS, where teams of bots would be controlled by one person, to implementing some more complex mechanics, such as using a stationary brini or conducting accurate fire to the sector indicated by the player.

Its an integral part of the game which most of us enjoy.

If you dont like it there is CoD.

well, the bots are dumb, and getting dumber too. i miss the time when they know they can climb trough a window or a fence…

but if they’re removed then… why bother playing this game then? might as well uninstall and play something else.

really wish they re-learn how to jump trough windows etc and maybe learn how to hide behind object to not get shot.

So you like clay shooting?

And the player number issues would like to argue about that.

Yeah but you wont get that in the future.
Just tell me how many times they mention AI in their roadmap.
How often did we get updates really mainly focusing on AI and not just cheap hotfixing the same issue for the fifth time?
Why should they? Most players in this game are so bad at FPS, they wouldnt be able to cope if the AI is capable of doing more than WASD in the open and need at least five rounds to hit someone. They wanna shoot at clay pigeons.

i think clay pigeons are harder to shoot than the bots in this game at times.

still… in a custom game where i’m the only player, the bots are surprisingly capable. compared to the ones in regular squad game at least. wonder why?

Bots are weak so that weak players don’t feel weak. it’s fun to do killstreaks even if you’re killing bots. Except that a player bot and a team bot are two different things. The bot player can really spoil the blood. Especially when such a bot player will start as a sniper.

That’s disillusion. Those players will get completely massacred & annihilated by majority of guys here on forum anyway. Bots aren’t that important.

considering the current state of the game what you described is like 3d chess with teams and your teammate would be pigeons that randomly when ever given opportunity would fk up your entire game, eating half of your chesspieces and shitting on table.

Yeah would love to spend 15-30mins like in HLL doing some serious sneaky peaky flanking operations just to get revealead by AI doing some stupid sht randomly.

Or get bombed by teammates that rarely are any better than AI.

no, no. in that custom game where it’s only me who’s the player. bots from both sides are substantially smarter and more reactive (but thankfully not super accurate) compared to regular bot in normal games.

they’re honestly quite fun to fight. though maybe i am just being biased.
