They contribute nothing to the game.

People dont play this game because of ai squad.
If this was the case ;easy red games would have seen record number of players and brothers in arms series wouldnt have died years ago.
People play it because its f2p, thats about it.
Even if you deleted all ai soldiers lot of people would still play.

Well they had hardcore mode with No bots before, and it wasnt popular so it got removed.
also without the bots, 10 vs 10 is very meh.

I doubt I would bother playing this game anymore, even if it is free 2 play
bots are an alleviation from dealing with the tryhards & exploiters
also bots allow us immediate respawn in situations where most single player/character control lack, so it is unique to this game

my memory is a little hazy, But I dont recall there being much more than 10 v 10 even in hardcore

people play because ai squad members form easy kills. Guess what, what other games could provide such an experience with average kill over 100? That’s where people find ways to relax.
Bots are not that useless, tho indeed they sometimes are stupid. They are much better than some people who never attack or defend the point with sniper rifles.
The problem is matchmaking it self: it cannot guarantee equal amount of live persons and bots on each side. And that further is the result of strange balancing (totally unbalance) between campaigns.

I redownloaded HLL for the British patch, was alot of fun. Absolutely dominated with my lanchester thanks to being in the middle of an enlisted binge. good fun.

without bots, some may get 0 kills in one game.
Just go through those in lower part of score tab, real people(not bots) 3/4, 6/10, 8/9 etc.
I never got these KDA, but AI really help these newbee build confidence, or simply taking part in the game in some sense.

Enlisted is only unique because of the bots. That is its thing, and no other game does what it does in the way it does. If you want CoD or Battlefield, go play CoD or Battlefield. Enlisted is the way it is because that is what the players want it to be. There used to be a no bots mode and it got regulated to custom games because of how unpopular it was. Its not the strength of the game.

- Shitty maps, not optimized for this amount of players
- Super small rewards
- Idiotic SQUAD system, that was in LONE fighters mode
- No voice chat
- Stupid health mechanic from Squads mode
- Can’t revive on teammates
Sure, it was unpopular, because no one wants to play without bots, not because this mode was awful.

I didnt comment on why it was unpopular. Merely that there was a mode “hardcore” that was without “bots” and was “removed because it was unpopular”. (Can be found in customs)
So if all you do is remove bots, you end up pretty much with the old hardcore…
Either mode you look at needs work, guess they figured squads was the best choice.

They weren’t “strong and capable” - they were supermen - instant response, 100% accuracy - made teh game even worse than it is now.
My bots will usually get a few kills in a squad - that seems about right.

Well, if you remove the bots, you can’t really keep the squad system. And if you remove the squad system, this game will die.
There really isn’t anything in this game you can’t get from another shooter, except the squad system and the ability to equip and customize individual soldiers. And it keeps you in the action and contributes to the pace of the game. If that’s gone, Enlisted can’t compete with other FPSs.

This game is designed to work with AI accompanying you in a squad, the problem is when there is no player, it’s just bots. That nonsense is what they should remove, I don’t see anything positive in it, it only harms the game.
If the players of the “popular” side have to wait 10 minutes for a game, then they must wait 10 minutes or change sides.

I agree that AI squads is a gimmic.
Imo we could remove player controled AI, add “free” AI and change spawn system a bit and not much would change.
Maybe it would even improve the gameplay as ppl won’t be sad that their AI squad is braindead.
I also used to defend this feature. But if devs don’t care to improve it, why should I care?
