Why they havent removed bots already?

If not for real players, I would easily get 100 kills per life, simply because AI doesn’t react fast enough, back in the days your bots were doing alot of work, so that positioning your squad at the right spot was already important, now all I ever do with my bots is letting them stay behind where they can’t be killed off, so that I have a faster respawn when I die.

Sure AI had basically Aimbot mode active, but so did your own AI as well making the game feel like a strategy game at times.

Don’t get me wrong, AI was broken especially since they had full vision through bushes, yet I would argue the devs have nerfed them too much.

haha cant live with em, cant live without them

Always pissed when a Bot instant locks and drops you

Always pissed when your bots don’t shoot back :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly, I would say braindead AI is better than unfair AI, however personally I feel like AI is so increadibly weak right now that buffing their aimtime and accuracy at medium ranges probably wouldn’t even make a noticeable difference.

There are really few things for game to be fun with bots:

  • They should spot enemy in front of them
  • They should return fire
  • They should fire at max speed of weapon
  • They should be inaccurate at distance
  • They should follow player
  • They shouldn’t self revive

“Shouldn’t self revive” is really something interesting and would give purpose to the medic class.

Imagine some dedicated players going around reviving people, could give more depth to the game.

Sounds good to me

It reminds me of Omaha Beach in Call of Duty WW2.
A cutscene begins, countless landing craft overcome the rough seas ,
the tremendous fire of MG42s and mortars raise many columns of water. :open_mouth:
The soldiers shout “SEE YOU ON THE BEACH!” and jump off the landing craft.

When the cut scene ends, five to a maximum of eight American soldiers run across the vast, empty beach. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
The German tochka that intercepts them is also empty.
Sporadic gunfire, deserted, like after a festival… :pensive:

i think that’s the solution for significant low player base yeah

lonewolf / what ever the mode was called was rather poorly made.
Tried it back when there was ~3-5 seconds delay on artillery, if I recall back then there also was no limitation of how many artillery barrages team could call simultaneously.
Make a wild guess what specialist defending team used without ever showing up themselfs.

Could have been intresting mode if they actually put even a little effort on it.

Literally all the game needs is the ability to make ai shoot at someone you are looking at with a hotkey and the ability to order them to use cover. If we had that it would be brothers in arms online and it would be sick af.

They cant even walk straight without stucking some random object.
What you hope is impossible for devs.
Also, BiA was slow paced compared to enlisted. BiA ai doesnt fit to enlisted

isn’t it kinda funny that the community Demands for better ai with better reaction times

also the community:
complained regarding terminators ai and also asked for less responsive ai as they ( used to ) kill through bushes, and in less than a nano second.

granted, they can and certainly could use for “upgrades” here and there, but do not forget that they aren’t really supposed to be terminators.

otherwise people would not enjoy it.

Yeah, I dont get it why so many people has need for bots to carry them, lmao.

oh I get it…the amount of games with 80% of the team with less than 15 kills.

I get it all too well.

I wouldn’t care if bonus multiplier for winning wasn’t a thing. I am just insta quitting full bot games currently. Not a big deal.

I see Enlisted as a casual shooter. No way I can approach it as a competitive game with the upgrade system it has making such a huge gap between longtime players and newbs. Without the bots to serve as cannon-fodder, the game would be a lot less palatable and frankly a lot more blatantly P2W.

I do hope for defensive AI improvements to the bots so that they don’t just die like lemmings when you’re not babysitting them.

The devs “fix” the AI for almost two years now plus CBT, Alpha and Pre-Alpha development. The result is that they are still too dumb, have no regard for their own life and still have serious issues to follow orders.

The AI is pretty much a joke and reflect the capabilities of the devs to fix anything beyond numbers.

Why do you need dumb bots?

All I need is targets.
If they were better at using environment to cover themselves, I would just wait few seconds until they stick out their heads, just like in old MoH games. I really dont see any difference.

And If I didn’t like bot concept overall, I wouldn’t be playing Enlisted in the first place.

So still kinda ironic.
