And then there’s me, a players that will grind every single level of if and enjoy the content as is.

Imo was a nice choise of gear and vehicles. Can’t complain.

yeah well, im also not going to complain again about how much of prototype semi autos for japs are there and can be equipped on every soldier

if they want to have every level new and interesting , and they want to preserve campaign leveling system as in previous campaigns ( every new lvl brings something new and bit different) then i think its quite fine

maybe americans could have received some new weapons though , but i will play them rarely anyway

What?

Why cant you put early war weapons in a late war campaign?

Normandy has Springfields, M1 Bazooka, M1 Flamethrower ans so on

So then why can’t you put most of this later war stuff in the early war campaign? Grease gun in Guadalcanal basically as close to Jumbo in Normandy, and the Type 5 rifle might as well just be a captured Garand like the German PPSh in Stalingrad, as the Japanese found they could reasonably feed 7.7 Arisaka into the Garand without too much issues from the gun. Those are the two biggest offenders, and other things like the Type Hei, Type Otsu and Type 2a all are on par with things like the Zh-29, if not moreso as there is evidence to support at least two of those things were used in the war. You want absolute historical accuracy, the early war stuff needs to go if you chose a late war setting, or if you are willing to give even a little leway, then what we have is fine.

Because if you put early war stuff in late war campaign than its accurate and good

If you put late war stuff in early war campaign then its not accurate and time traveling

Yes! I love this level and can’t wait to use katana to give America soldier a bloodbath!

But still, Jumbo and M2c in Normandy, MkB 42 in Moscow. Also, no just because something is old doesn’t mean it is historically accurate, as you have so elegantly pointed out M1 Bazookas are in Normandy. Also, M1 Flamethrowers were in Normandy, the M2s only went to the Pacific.

I think you like the idea of historical accuracy, but you don’t actually know what it means. You are vehemently against things sliding backwards in time for your own immersion, but you say nothing about the Luftwaffe in Normandy and Berlin, or the BARA1 in Normandy, when these would both have been impossible. If you can learn to accept these historical inaccuracies, you can learn to accept what Pacific is.

I agree

I kinda got over it

Still gonna play, but the levels definitely could have been better made.

Expected to see more interesting stuff

Try to stab me with that katana you dirty jap, i got my baby M2 ready for ya!

Well what did you expect when they said they were going to do the Pacific as a whole.

Did they?

They just announced battles like Guadalcanal and another earlier than Guadalcanal campaign

Guess i must have misread it somewhere, thats why it came as a surprise for me i guess

It’s more than acceptable.

Atleast I will try and enjoy content that ain’t on any other game.

I don’t care if it’s a prototype a lendlease or what ever. As long as it fits the era/time I m all in to play with it.

It’s pacific campaign

Not Guadalcanal campaign.

Go to the bottom of the initial Pacific announcement and you will see that it says (paraphrasing) “Pacific will launch with a variety of locations including Guadalcanal and Gavutu”. do with that information as you will.

I’d prefer them actually being historically accurate and picking a battle. There’s nothing wrong with Bolt Actions either?

Ehh fuck it

Ill enjoy roasting some Japs

This is just lazy though. They are trying everything they can to not improve how progression works, and that comes at the detriment of simplified scenarios (like the Pacific) with historical inaccuracies like mixing 1944 gear in a battle that lasted 1942 to 1943. Literally would be solved by having weapons be unlocked by a separate nation tree to prevent repeated unlocking of weapons, which would then be able to be bought in different campaigns as it is now, if it is unlocked. Also, they could literally allow people to select more than one campaign when queueing, or provide thematic queues like Eastern Front (Berlin, Moscow, Stalingrad), Western Front (Normandy, Battle of France, etc.), or what could have been Pacific Front had they not been lazy with it.
