I can understand quitting the game at the beginning, as some people don’t like to play certain maps. However, it’s unreasonable not to increase the punishment after they die once or several times. In a game I just played, my teammate died a few times at the first click, resulting in the dismissal of the entire five players. This makes the game very unfair. How do five people play against ten people? The added robots are useless, they will only give scores to the opponent.XD
And what if ppl had constant problem with internet? Punish them for a provider issues? What if they have some personal issues? Punish them for being unlucky?
Both cases could happen several times in a row, and there is no way to detect the true reason.
I’m playing via GFN(GeForce Now) free tier and I had 30 minutes to play a game. After those 30 mins my client will disconnect me from the game. Some games may exist for 15 mins, some for 45. So should I be punished for my time limit?
Punishment for disconnect - one of the most disgusting thing I ever saw in online games since those games basically DON’T CARE and this type of action shows real disrespect of gameDev team to a players base.
IMHO - if you want to have a proper team - find yourself teammates so they won’t leave you/communicate with you/help you.

Players should NOT be punished for leaving a computer game.
There are various reasons one leaves, crappy maps and modes like Khalif caves and Confrontation, life issues.
Games go for way too long and since there is no timer you never know when you start whether youll have a 10 minute game or a 50 minute game (yes, they exist, Ive played them).
What blithering idiot thinks its a good idea forcing people to stay at something where they are tired, bored and frustrated?

Anyone who thinks players should be punished for leaving needs to seriously touch some grass. And I dont mean that as an off hand internet comment, Im dead serious, get up, go outside. Or at least open your window.
Is it annoying when half your team left? Sure. But:
- This doesnt happen that often.
- There is almost always a valid reason for this such as the game went for too long or we are just getting steamrolled.
Those two issues relate to problems that DF should fix like making matches a maximum of 30 minutes, having some sort of delay between capturing points to give defenders at least a chance of regrouping and building defensive structures, and fixing the broken BR system.
Those might still be accepted.
But this thing is purely your problem, you already know you can only play for 30 minutes, why are you trying to play a game that can last longer than that?
You are just selfish and disrespect the other players on your team.

You do know that there is a difference between deliberately leaving a game and disconnecting. Seperate the 2 and punish deliberately leaving.

And then, again, it will bring us to the “game DON’T CARE” system where any disconnect will be punished which is stupid and disrespectful to the players base.
So IMO it’s better leave it as it’s right now - “30% exp penalty and the game doesn’t count as completed” instead of Nazi regime with progressive timeout and possible ban like it happen in many other games…
I hope they improve the reconnection system before they add those, as currently it is a bad joke.

Why would you want to punish low ranked players?? How is it their fault they can’t compete against a better team. Be humble when carrying a lesser team and don’t blame them when you lose to a superior team. Can’t win every game.
It’s more humiliating to leave the game early rather than stay and try your best.

I have to do things at the same time including but not limited to building respawn points, destroying the enemy’s rear, blowing up high-value units, and helping teammates create opportunities to walk into the stronghold alive.
In the past 1 to 2 months, the quality of the players I have encountered at levels 3 to 5 is basically the same.
Incomplete equipment (almost all hand-pulled rifles and no anti-tank equipment). Slow suicide with almost no knowledge and practicality
Respect and tolerance are for normal people
Not for those anti-intellectual groups who can’t even grasp their own ability level and only poison the environment all day long.
How about bonus silver to the players that stay to the end of the match when 1 or more on their side has quit? The more guys quit, the higher the bonus. This way, people will mostly wait for others to quit and play to the end because of that sweet silver

Because rewards cannot make up for the suffering of serious players and can easily be abused by passive players.
All they have to do is show enough incompetence to drive serious players away from the game.

They’re either new or casual players, just because you like to sweat doesn’t mean they should be punished for playing how they want. I get annoyed when people camp with snipers, tanks ect but it’s people playing the game how they want. Punishing them for that is just plain stupid and wouldn’t encourage new players or players to keep playing.
Penalties dont make players get better. As I said I leave because 1. Its a bad mission style I know I wont enjoy 2. Its a bad map I know I wont enjoy 3. I have to leave due to life reasons.
The only penalties they should be added is for people who have engineers in their lineup but do not build a single rallypoint all match. People need to be forced to build rallies.

Fixed machine gun spread penalty. Vicious BUG of individual rifle grenades and impact grenades, kamikaze attack penalty, small-caliber tank gun in low-level environment. Low-damage tank machine gun, mines weakened. A large number of terrain modifications
So why can’t there be a low ranking penalty?
Since we lost so much because of their incompetence
Why not let them meet the minimum standards in our eyes?

The penalty for leaving should always be a matchmaking penalty timer where you can’t search that faction again until the match you just left ends. Also the first desertion per day should come at no penalty and reset every 24 hours.
