out of 30 matches i played, only 2 matches where US players actually called a Airstrike with Carpet bomb

Eh. It’s plausible, so who knows.
What’s certain is, with a restricting br system tailored for war thunder, unless Japan has anything interesting or at the very least on par with what their enemy has…
Then it will just go back to when Pacific just hot released: nobody will play.
Favorite for me is actually the Hei w/10rd Mag.
I have my squad leaders each with one. When i have to get #^$= done at the point if he is still alive, then thats what I use.
The Ko is also a good damn rifle, but restricted to a premium squad so not as visable as the campaign ones. And thats a personal travisty as it would make Japan a better faction to have it in play to unlock.
Ive gone up against the M2 many times now and while its terrifying close up, it doesnt bother me too much since its distinct sound allows me to hone in on the guy with it and Dome him with a BA or a Rifle Grenade.
The lanes of fire are long in Pacific, so long as you have defensive depth, or a staggered attack, it won’t own you like it and the STG can in Normandy.
Br is going to either make or break this game. Sadly ill end up in a lower BR probably beating up on players because I don’t min/max my squads.
I don’t even use my Type 4s right now lol.

M2 is not a wunderwaffe. Its depends on playerbase.

I completely forgot about the 10 bullets hei… the 5 bullets is… ok. But the 10 one, sure is great.
Totally agree is my fav also, and as you say, i have 1 each squad leader

I play axis, there i said it.
Can win as allies as a 2 stack (been having some success…but its not fun…its super frustrating and a hard slog. To set up a close rally, clear all the enemy rallies and most of the point, only to look at the map and all the blue dots havent moved in and conceded your new rally

I’m pretty sure the swing back to Axis is because they got the paratroopers first and everyone wanted to use them while leveling a faction. I expect it to swing back once the American paratroopers are added.
I’d say the 20 round version would be an adequate rifleman weapon, the 30 round version as an assaulter weapon.
Full auto mauser c96 with extended megazine and buttstock, or simply c96 carabine
(Yes Emperor army used it)
There’s already M2 in Pacific lol, and as it seems. It doesn’t need any counter full auto rifle.
