Why is the pacific campaign so bad for Allies right now?

76 Jumbos vs Chi-ha
P-40 vs Zero
M2 vs Type Hei
Who will win?

I hope they keep the ability to choose campaign. That is one of the major reasons I started playing this game.

Because after the US military obtained airborne troops, it would be difficult for Japan to win in the same player situation, right? Most players should prioritize upgrading to Japan and wait for the event before upgrading to the United States…

It’s mostly about where the players will want to be.

USA has more toys than Japan… and they are better. Since Those usually playing Normandy will also face Japan, the faction will face a big influx of players.

And, toy vs toy, USA has better things, atm. For example, Japan spaa is the only squad I decided to entirely bypass and not lvl. It’s just so bad, especially compared to m13 and that EVEN if m13 got nerfed numerous times.

Between m13 and tae se, players will choose m13. Etc.

Only thing that MIGHT save the faction if if DF artificially give lower br to Japanese equipment, unlike what we see now, with Japanese Garand vs m2.

In any case, I’ve maxed Japan already, and am now enjoying Normandy allies.

Because Banzai!

Another reason everyone is using Axis Pacific is because of the recent event squad that people unlocked. More people are playing axis pacific to try out their new, free airborne squad.

Oh I’ve been meaning to ask, since you’re also a bolt action affectionado: what is your favourite Japanese rifle to date?

  • Arisaka carbine? (Starter)
  • Arisaka rifle?
  • Type I?
  • Type 99 (late)?
  • Banzai gentleman one with a flag on it (forgot the name)?
  • Type 100 (paratrooper)?

I personally really like the Type I, feels like a perfect in-between. I’d go for the paratrooper type 100 as it’s just very powerful, but the sight is a bit bugged at the moment (slightly blurred).

  1. US copy paste; japs new.
  2. Japs paratroopers come first in the event. Everyone wants to test it.
  3. When most max level players would love to stay on the japs, that means significant amount of white phosphorous nades plus flame throwers.

After playing Normandy again i have come to the conclusion that Allied players are either full of braindead players or people who doesn’t know what they are doing. it seems most of the allied mains already left the game and almost everyone now only plays Axis. Most of the ppl i met playing allies are all new players or bots sadly

i would suggest only playing allied if you are in a stack of 4 else as solo its quite miserable at times and almost unplayable. This doesn’t applied to Soviets, soviet population is high and decently skilled from what i’ve seen. US on the other hand is unplayable and full of noobs. none builds rally, just sit behind the hills sniping the whole game

Went into multiple games like this, and had to solo carry everything, im maining Axis when merge hits

Must depend on your time zone, and server.

Just yesterday I played Normandy allies for many matches, and it was even sides. Many rallies too.

Sure the occasional match with either only bots or newer players exists, but when in those where your team lost 200 tickets, first cap is still fully red, and your rally point is the only one while the entire team does not push, then you can desert and find a better match.

Even had one yesterday where we defended Omer, had 5 rallies, ammunition eeeeeeverywhere, jumbos, p47, AND EVEN CALLIOPEs. They never stood a chance. Funny thing is, Germans were human.

New industrial map is also really well made. I feel like an ant in it, in the part with gigantic pipes. A lot of tactical opportunities here, fantastic one.

No i Always play Axis on all Campaigns why would i ever wanna play any of the others? haha
which team is nerfed or not at the moment doesnt matter at all for me il never play anything other than the Axis.

Ironicaly the Pacific Campaign is my favorite because BAs really really shine at thinning out waves of troops because we have such long sight lines.

Sadly I was dealing with a family death so I never got the other event squad with the Long 99. And its doubtful it will ever be available again either.

That said I have 2 loves in the Pacific. The Type 38 (non carbine) for its ROF and decent sights up close, and the Type 99 Late for its reach out and touch someone at 200m+.
I find I shoot better at range with the 99 and better up close with the 38. So my Rifleman Squads have a mix.

I haven’t played with the Paras yet as I’m working on a few squads at once leveling them up.

My opinion might change once I get some experience with it.

I do enjoy the Pacific campaign, but it really depends on when you play the game, some times of day , for NA the Allies seam to win more and the Japanese seam to other times of the day.

Sorry to hear this, my condolences to you and your family.

As for rifles, even if my middle ground is the type I, like you I use a mix  my sniper squad, generally at longer range, use the type 99 late for it’s better damage over distance. I also never ditched my arikasa (rifles) because they work so well, and I find them to be genuinely beautiful pieces.

Pacific is really fun, like you said, BA are strong here. A bit like Tunisia.

I hope the merging will not ruin the campaign. Fingers crossed! :crossed_fingers:

Nah miss nothing, the rifle is a full star normal typ99 with a flag, the unique uniform can be emulated in the costumization

And yes condolences

Yeah I’m a little nervous with them merging eveeything together. I want balance not Rofl stomps for any faction ( I play them all, obviously), so long as we get that, ill be happy.

I dont use the Type I much, to be honest. It wasnt my favorite rifle while I was working through the campaign, though that doesnt really mean much, we all have our preferences.

I have Semis as well for soldiers that get into more of the CQC and such, but Bolts reign supreme if you know how use them in the Pacific.

I would have still liked to have gotten it just so I could say I had them.

But all is well, there will be more squads to come im sure.

Speaking of them, Japan has 3, which is your favourite?

I’m torn between Otsu (surprisingly) and the (Japanese) Garand. Otsu may only have 5 bullets… but even if you click as fast as you can, it’s recoil is so low that all shots will go true.

Made the practice “double taping” a literal thing, even at range.

Type 4 has slightly more recoil, but 10 bullets… also great.

There’s NO WAY type 4 should be the same br as a m2 full auto carbine however. I hope devs will do things right and make Japanese Garand same br as… well, the Garand.

Again, fingers crossed!

Yeah is a playerbase issue, once more ppl started playing US its more or less balanced

Matches like this is fun yeah, was farming bots all day due to lack of players on US

Most of the time its 10 jap players vs 2/4 US allied players, US team is usually filled with bots

What would they make for the Japanese to counter the M2?
Maybe the experimental fully automatic Type Hei?
