Hey guys, I wanted to apologize lol I got a little too emotional haha.

I would say Enlisted is a FANTASTIC game! I’ve had tons of fun playing it, and look forward to playing it more for years. Because, it’s a great game. Like squad tactics thing - super great, nobody has done that before. Etc. Graphics, content, everything - great job, developers!

It’s just been frustrating experience playing the game, and balance should be fixed. But even then, the balance isn’t too far off, it’s almost fine.

Yes, right - what should developers really do, to address balance problems?

I would say fixing tanks would help. German tier 1 tank is OP, and could easily be fixed - like I donno - nerf accuracy of the MG, decrease penetration of the AP round, something like that?. I would suggest making explosives more effective against tanks. That would be realistic - it would push tanks further away - and supporting friendly infantry. Instead of right now they just steam roll noob infantry. Etc.

But it’s great to hear some discussion on this!

They are already very effective. They can insta kill a time almost every time. I would suggest making the AT guns more effective instead.

I doubt that will ever happen. The devs put little thought into tanks and tank warfare when they designed the map from what I can see.

No no no! Nobody uses AT guns, and nobody will. Just forget that.

Explosives dont do anything to tanks! What are you talking about? They just roll away a little, and get no damage. Or barely any.

Unless the explosive BLOWS up directly under the tank - it seem to do no damage.

Not many use it because it is not as effective as using an SMG or LMG squad and arming them with explosives. Once this changes, there will be a place for AT guns in the squad. There is nothing more satisfying than taking a tank out with an AT gun.

I can’t remember the last time I threw an explosive pack at a tank and didn’t send them to heaven. You are not talking about the infantry grenade, are you?

But I am suuuper enjoying my Soviet decked out side. I’m like level 13 on Soviet, so just unlocked Winchester.

Have premium squad, plus fully leveled Assaulter squad, everyone has PPDs with drums, Madsens, etc. My 3rd squad is Machine gunners - also well leveled. Bt-7

It is a lot of fun to play my Soviet squads! - my kpd is thru the roof, even on horrible Soviet teams, when Im the only good player. That PPD with drum is laser good, I can mow down 2-3 squads at once with one drum lol

Madsen is extremely fun too - like almost 1 hit kills, or near there. Nice rate of fire, will upgrade well, etc

So balance is not too far off - Soviets have definate advantage in personal weapons. We also get SVT, on snipers. Etc.

Well, only Engineers can place AT guns. And I figured out engineers well later in game, so do most other players. I agree, AT guns are fun, and whole mechanic is awesome. And whole Engineering part too - just great part of the game.

I threw many many explosives on many many tanks lol trust you me lol As soon as Pz2 rolls away a little, from where the explosives landed - it’s totally fine. No damage will be done.

The explosive is kinda hard to use, you really hope your target doesn’t roll away.
One way I prevent it is by cooking the explosive pack, last time I threw a cooked Explosive pack
at a BT, it detracked it while not a kill is still benefits the team.

I was talking about hand held ones. The AT cannons perform fine as it is.

Cook them for 7-8 seconds before throwing. Tanks can always move away if you don’t.

Arm the explosive, count to five, throw. Experiment with delay until you get the timing right.

Don’t throw it right away. Hold ā€œNā€ or your mouse button for a couple seconds instead of clicking it once.

Well the first thing I would do is replace the starter tanks. The Pz2 and T60 are very obnoxious to use against one another. It requires skill to use them properly.
Now the Pz3B needs to be removed like the BA11 was as it was never used in moscow. The T26 is kinda weak, but replacing the Pz3B with a Pz38t (model A) should give Germany a tank similar to the T26, which both can be used as starter tanks.

On top of that, I would replace the outdated HE round on the 37mm gun with the more powerfull HE round. The one we use now has proven to be delegated to training/reserve units and replaced by the time of Moscow in an older thread. It would still be slightly weaker than the 45mm HE, but not as weak as it is now.

Then, after using the T26/Pz38tA, one could unlock the Pz3E/BT7. Here you notice a diffrent path between the two nations. One gets more armor and crew (Pz3), the other gets more mobility.

After that, I would put the Pz2/T60.

Then, as 4th tank sets, I could see the Pz4C/D and T28/T28E. Both have short 75/76mm HE lobbing guns (I would not give them HEAT, maybe not even APHE so they would be weak against other tanks). I would give the Pz4 a roof mounted MG34 to balance out the fact that the T28 has 4 MGs (2 in seperate turrets, one coax, one mounted in the turret rear). The Pz4 D has more armor than the C, same with the T28E vs the T28, so those are just options.

For tank destroyers, I could see the SU-5-1, SU-6, AT-1 or ZiS-30 work for SU
SU-5-1 and ZiS-30 are in war thunder, this is the SU-6:

Would have access to the best gun both for AP and HE (same size as T28), but would be entirely open-top so would require a lot of infantry protection.
AT-1 looks like this:

More protection, but still open in the back. Probably a better pick for Enlisted than the SU-6
Issue is, both are prototypes.

For Germany, you would have the Marder line of vehicles, as well as the PzJg1.
All of these are in war thunder, and are armed with 47mm (pzjg1) or 75mm (pz4 long 75mm) guns.

I personally think the main thing we would have to do is make SU more attractive to play. Not more powerful, but just a lot of fun.

Also, I think moving the tank progression to the squad tech tree instead of the campaign would help a lot. Have the tanks cost like 10 squad upgrade points to balance it out. This allows us to make campaign progression more compact.

I personally think this ability should be given to the engineer inside of the engineer and bomber squads.
In general, limit the offensive (AA/LMG/AT gun) buildings to specific squads but let the rifleman and engineer squad engineers build them all, to make those squads more interesting/attractive to play and remove the ability for the squads with automatic weapons (lmg/assaulters) from also building a static MG through their engi. Instead, they should get the AA gun, or maybe even none at all.

That is why you should cook the pack for ~4 seconds. Then they explode before the tank can move.

They explode after 6, seems hard to wait that long xd

There was a community vote way back in like 2016-2018.

TL;DR the choice was between:

  • Every campaign costs ~30$ and acts as a seperate game while Enlisted is kinda a launcher for said games
  • Game is free to play, but with many microtransactions

Voters chose F2P, now we can’t change that anymore (despite a lot of us that joined later being in favor of buy2play)

Yeah, regarding Engineers - I see way too much spamming of obstacles! People build like layers of hedgehogs, where you can’t even get inside cap points lol

Yeah, cooking explosives is a good idea, but nobody knows it. And nobody would guess.

My definate suggestion: make explosives damage tanks more, from distance. So if explosives blow up a bit away - it would still blow tracks, engine, etc.

They should make the game free to play I think but only selling unique weapons and cosmetics or cool vehicles nothing OP people will still buy stuff like that. But knowing how money hungry Gaijin is I think what they should do is offer the game free but you can get one campaign of your choosing free and then charge like 5-10 dollars each other campaigns or create a bundle that is like 30 dollars for all campaigns and campaigns in the future. As well to sell premium accounts which would allow you to choose which maps you are in cycle for and faster progression. I think by doing this the game would not need to add OP premiums for people to buy and it would give people a lot of choice. If people like more bolt action rifle game play then they can enjoy Moscow and tunisia or if people enjoy a more modern type then they can play with the Gewvers and Garands or SVTS of Berlin and Normandy. Or if you like all of ww2 then buy them all in the said 30 dollar pack
