Why Enlisted will die if nothing changes

No - just a bloke who started wargaming when he was 12… and there’s guys who introduced me to it older than me still going strong…

what - you thought old folks don’t have computers or toy soldiers??

WTF you think all this started sonny? :D!

So true, agreed

But also the game IS very imbalanced. I’ve just been playing for few hours - Soviet side is still losing a lot, and it’s still all noobs with Mosins. It’s not fun to play Soviets, because there is nothing for noobs to use. SU definitely needs improvement early levels - move that PPD/drum unlock closer, or something.

I have yet to see a game that properly executes it that is not single player.

Of course, if you got some good examples, I’ll eat those words x)

The attacking team was always the meta pick if you actually wanted to win operations as the defending team needed long times to win battles. In the last one only we had Russians that had stabilized tanks while Germany did not have stabs by default.

Well I have seen in practice that it is nearly impossible to balance it in a PvP game. And if there is no proper balance, anyone that isn’t an hardcore simulator fan will not have a good time, which is why I would prefer to make the game playable for the more casual players as those will make up the majority of the playerbase.

My dad played Doom x)

Note that the bots run Mosin squads, check your scoreboard at the end of a match. Most players with a KDR of <2 are a bot

The Battlefront series by Combat mission - from way back in the early 2000’s was almost entirely unbalanced scenarios - WW2 game, company/battalion controlled by a single player, “We-go”, individual soldiers represented and operating as coherent squads - you gave orders at squad level IIRC, had leaders, artillery, airstrikes were abstracted, mortars, MG’s, defences if you wanted to buy them incl wire and mines, support platoons with mortars, some on-board light artillery for direct support, “historical” makeup of all units, tigers cost you more than P3’s so you didn’t bring many…a full range of tanks from Barbarossa to Berlin (which was 1 of hte titles!), incl Normandy and Nth Africa…

They updated the engine and systems about 2005 - 2010 but I never got back into it - now the range of games includes modern scenarios based on a hypothetical Syrian situation I think, and looking at hte website they are up to game engine 4 - the original was released on 31 May 2000 - 20 yrs, still updating and still going pretty good by the look.

If this fails I’ll probably head back to it now I’ve had another look see!

I got my sons into gaming!

How many players fought each other per match there? Can’t really find much info based on “battlefont series by combat mission” google.

it was a rts game rip

Well than it is not a good example, as we need a PvP game that did asymmetry right as an example. If there is none, that would be the perfect reason why not to implement symmetry. I do not believe Enlisted is capable of being “first of its kind”

I don’t know, I feel WAY more immersed in these battles than I have in any other shooter of the same style.

Balancing needs to be forefront.

Online ‘votes’ are always amusing because they’re almost always rigged, after all who’s watching the votes? So basically Gaijin rigged it to make more shekels.

i guess doesn’t matter anymore at this point…

this topic…

I’ve noticed matches are taking longer and longer to find almost every week.
Used to find matches within 5 seconds, now its taking over half a minute.
