Why Enlisted will die if nothing changes

That’s skill. In TF2 this also happens, but the game is fun enough to keep new players around. As such, that is not really an issue. Especially because it allows skilled new players (experience in similar games?) to pick up the game quickly and get competitive right away.

It is an issue though when your gun needs 2 shots to kill your enemy and they get to kill you in 1.

Im just here to voice my opinion and express some feedback on the game but so far my opinion on the game is. ITS REALLY FUN EVEN AS A NEW PLAYER. This game needs to last also so i agree with their take on progression for soldiers, nations, campaigns etc. even the RNG factor makes it exciting and keeps me wanting to play. There will ALWAYS be a meta for any game regardless of how balanced they try to make it. Players will create a meta.

I think this game is enjoyable and that I know alot of my friends will enjoy playing this game and I hope i can either get codes for them somehow or that OBT will start soon so I can play with them and they can try out the game for themselves.

I don’t care for high levels being matched against me or not the starting bolt actions are more then enough to take somebody down in 1-2 hits regardless of if they payed for a pack or not. People can pay for better gear maybe but they can’t buy skill and game sense.

I think Gaijin knows what they are doing for the most part and I support them which ever way they go. This game is fun and interesting and the slow and RNG based progression is great. (including academy and weapon parts etc.) It will keep my attention to coming back to the game.

For your information, a decent way to get game codes is to watch out for Enlisted streams from their official Twitch and YouTube pages where you can get codes if you are fast (they would need to watch ideally).

Yeah one of my friends is just super lazy and doesn’t want to do that XD

Lol

Is that still a thing since CBT started? afaik that was closed alpha only

Well they’ve done it in two recent streams lol.

I agree, developers are doing a great job. This is a fun game, and there is really nothing else out there in WW2 FPS. Squad based combat like this, I never seen that.

Hey men, I totally agree with you, I wish I could get my friends some codes.

Other than that, i think that devs are receiving tons of feedback, and they’re just doing great,
mashing game systems altogether to create this masterpiece is really something else,
and it’s not that easy to manage for sure.

There will be always some kind of people who will bring out the numbers and argue all around the forum,

Just have fun and be grateful for the opportunity to play, nothing has to be perfectly balanced,
It’s a damn game, there’s no point in nitpicking.

If it was nearly balanced, there would be no issue.
The issue is that players with premium squads have 44% more DPS, 35% more health, 15% faster sprint, 70% less recoil and 200% more medkit efficiency. and they face players without any of those stats.

And there we have it, the number bringer.
If i get killed i spawn, if i kill one of these premium guys i just take the weapon and have some fun with it.

When picking up a gun, it applies the modifications of your gun onto it, so it loses 20% rate of fire and damage if you dont have the upgrades (tho sometimes it does take the origional mods, other times it takes none at all, buggy mess that has been reported before but ignored)

And yes. I bring up numbers as these diffrences are so large that they shouldn’t be ignored. Besides, this always has been a numbers thread.
If it was like 10% more damage, I wouldn’t paticulary care. But give someone +44% damage in any other game and it would cause a massive PR nightmare.

MP 41s are still OP when you pick them up.
Of course that doesn’t make premiums any less broken.

It also feels like the -70% recoil perk is embedded into the gun and the stat stays on there even if you steal the gun lmao it’s stupid

Im just really confused rn how someone can look at what is an essentially 75% time to kill diffrence and is like “is just game y u mad”

The cost and development time for Crsed Foad should have gone into the bots atleast lol…they feel so underwhelming for them to be the main attraction in the game!

Enlisted’s big hook is that its campaigns are meant to recreate actual battles, rather than “sports-like competitions,” with multiple phases, unequal conditions, and differing goals. “Battles involving equal teams in equal conditions are, of course, interesting as a competition. But they do not have the immersion or the thrill of real battle, where balanced forces and symmetrical objectives are unlikely,” the Enlisted website says. “You may be a defender of Moscow in the trenches dug around the city, facing advancing enemy tanks and superior forces, with an objective to hold the enemy, to stop the advancing army in its tracks with all the resources you have.” How many enemy players you kill is irrelevant—all that matters is holding the line.

This was supposed to be the game Darkflow promised but right now I dont see any comparison between the game mentioned and thegame i play now except both of them being a ww2 game

And that description is what got me here - I am terminally uninterested in another shoot-'em-up.

That’s been covered before- while asymmetry like that works great on paper, it doesn’t work in reality.
It’s been tried and proven a failure in some War Thunder event battles.

In some War Thunder events, players were given the choice between being on a small team of German planes, and being on a large team of lower-tier Russian planes.
What happened was there was a huge queue to get on the German team to use the better planes, while barely anyone was queued for the Russian team. So by the time the battle started, Russia didn’t even have the numerical advantage it was supposed to because not enough players were queueing Russia to make a full team.

asymmetry requires thought and careful design of objectives - it is not wonder that players who’s only concept of a worthwhile outcome is a KDR can’t cope with it.

But there’s a large population of wargamers of various ilks who have been playing asymmetric forces and objectives for decade - I’m coming up to 50 years of doing so.

The nearest WT actually gets to it is in World War mode, where defence/attack games proved to be fun for quite a lot of people, although there were still plenty who couldn’t handle that it wasn’t just about KDR.

There are also relatively simple ways of getting around uneven queues - if the wait for a “full” game is too long then start with smaller teams for example.

I’ve come to the conclusion that objections such as yours show s lack of experience in any other sort of gaming than “equal teams” modes, and lack of imagination that anything else might be possible. Plus an unwillingness of companies to actively promote different modes in the face of such objections! :frowning:

WW mode in WT and this game give me a little hope.
