Why do the vast majority of players seem to dislike Stalingrad?

I started playing Enlisted back in October ish last year, so by this point have been playing for around 5 months. I tried each map and was thinking about quitting the game until I came across Stalingrad. I loved it. It is by far my favourite map and I’ve invested days of my life into it.

So, my question is, why, whenever I search online for a question about Enlisted or go on YouTube to search up tips, why does there seem to be so much antagonism and annoyance and a general feeling of hatred and complaints against it? It’s my favourite.

I realise, compared to others, I haven’t been playing as long, but I really can’t understand all the bad things being said about it. I play some of the other maps sometimes (outside of Stalingrad my favourite is probably Tunisia) but comparing all of them, Stalingrad, in my opinion, is the best.

Why all the hate?

No real grind.

I wish they kept it the same way as all the other campaigns.

The streets are a F’en nightmare to drive tanks on, way to much clutter and junk on them.

The New map is an improvement though.

In what way do you think there is no real grind? I’ve been enjoying the progress I’ve been making

there is basically no grind, compared to the other campaigns that is, the progressions is lighting fast.

It’s easy mode, this was an experiment by them as I understand it.

i dont know either

stalingrad is amazing.

I don’t hate Stalingrad.
But I don’t have money either.

I see. So you believe that it lacks the challenge of the other campaigns? Do you think it’s more experienced Enlisted players who dislike Stalingrad the most?

How do you mean?

Cuz of the paywall nothing else.

I don’t want to play paywalled campaign and I don’t have money to buy it.
Maybe in half a year, but not now.

they made chnanges to the gunplay which largely made the game worse. it was also basically a copy and paste from all the other eastern front campaigns, which was boring to grind through. the tank selections are really shit compared to the other campaigns too. most of the maps (notably all the maps included on release) were just sections of one big map, so it felt very samey and repetitive. also everyone just used snipers all the time, which was insanely annoying, and the maps facilitated this (cringe) style of gameplay.

they hate it becorse there is some payd element [some not free levels etc]
but as person who buyed it I can say - its best thing what Im can buy in this game - lots of slots / fast progression
and of course i love what in stalingrad they try improve gunplay [but most player even not seen this thing))) they not need any gunplay but want all things for free)))]

It’s a good thing for many, myself included.

I play for fun, not to grind. I have real life work to grind with already, why in the world would grinding more in Stalingrad be desirable?

I wish the other campaigns also had the x4 xp option.

Exactly the same for me

I cant speak for them, but I know for me that’s the turn off, well one of them.

And the maps are way to cluttered for Tanks, one of my big turns off’s for Normandy as well, the maps are tiny and filled with junk that makes using tanks a nightmare.

I can Enjoy Flying on Stalingrad though, and have a relatively high level of progression on it, so I do play it but I only relay go there when the daily challenge makes me.

MGs feel like shit, and not enough maps. Other than that its ok. I wouldn’t call it the worse campaign, I would say for me the Pacific is the worse.

I just like to grind, I get bored with a campaign once I level up all the way.

Brrady: For me personally who grinded out everything: I find this game is so much more enjoyble without it.
Hear a lot of ppl sayin this. But i’m on the contrary tbh.
Just my opinion tho.

And on the Stalingrad note:
Love this campaign!

Paywall. Not gonna spend money “just for the privilege” of getting access to ~50% of the squads/vehicles in the campaign.

Stalingrad was the first campaign bringing the major bolt-actions buff, which imo is GREAT and I’m thankful it later spread to the whole game.

Some history purists dislike the fact that late campaign levels bring highly effective and meta weapons, leading to full auto spam like late war campaigns. Indeed, this makes the campaign quite similar to Berlin, but that’s not a game breaker imo.

I bought full access. Super fast progress is AWESOME, especially when upgrading squads.

Indeed I’m playing it less now, but that’s because I’m trying to max out all campaigns.

MGs in Stalingrad actually work like crap, that’s true (terrible bipoding issues and nonsensical recoil patterns).
