Axis unlock a Beretta lvl 8, then they unlock the mp40 lvl 14 with the same statistic but 8 less ammo then you unlock at lvl 26 the same shit you have unlocked at lvl 8, literally the same stats, rate of fire, damage, whatever… You unlock 3 times the same smg SMG is that normal ? While allies get different Thompson with better rate of fire and recoil.
There are too much level that are useless or wasted and that’s something I call bullshit, like the devs don’t care at all and just throw randomly shit per level
This is similar to Berlin, where the Germans lose in equipment at the beginning of the campaign, but at later levels they become way superior than the enemy. I propose to wait until 30 levels, and only then draw conclusions about the balance in the campaign.
I suspect that too for firearms. The mg34 IS coming after all. I don’t think Brits will get much better than Brens. (The Bars are absolute sexy beasts tho)
Oh for tanks too. Axis WILL get the Tiger tank. There was nothing superior to it in that war theater.
In my opinion the issue in tunisia between allies and axis is not who has better guns, tanks, or planes, but its more about mentality of each side.
For example i rarely see allied players camping, they push often from multiple flanks they dont try be sneaky or cheeky by being in wierd spots were they will indeed would get some frags and points but they wouldnt do anything for thier team.
Other example is that i rarely for example see snipers in allies team even though they have in my opinion one of the best sniper zooms in game, they still dont use it since sniper on their own dont do really anything and they are better squads for people to take. Axis on the other hand is see planty of them being in buldings 50-90m from point trying to score some ez kills but not being where it matters and thats a point which they should defend
Another thing is that axis for example dont use full potential of what they have early on, examples: while AB is really crap against infrantry i found out its perfect for just rushing in with its buggy armor to destory rally points, do so mayham and distract to buy time for players to get to point, sometimes even baiting arty call on me.
Re.2000 in my opinon is the best fighter in 1v1 situation in the campaing since its has best turn rate there is there, even outpreforming spitfire and to 12mm are enough to destory planes, so with this in mind axis should have air supperiorty and tanks like Grant shouldnt be the issue, since stukas do exist but again i see that people in those plains rarely try to fight and prefer to strafe or do simple kamikaze with little to no effect.
Another fact is axis player are probobly less on missions where you need to attack and i think you learn how to play and how map works mostly when you attack not, really when you defend, i never saw demolition mission where axis for example had to attack. And i personly learn to play way better then i started to play more germans in moscow then russians since they were usually one in offensive.
And last thing most of the axis players and inmature, they get frustrated quickly and ragequit from match even if they are winning, this screenshot is perfect example of that (almost half of thier starting team left the game)
Yes I did. And I am not talking about anti tank capabilities but anti intantry one.
How many times was I in M14 and I hopelessly watched how hordes of enemy infantry run over the street. Good luck taking them out with 24 bullets in a mag that reloads for ages. You don’t have these problems in A13. It gun is buggy, but its not that it can’t hurt AB or M14.

Totally agree there. So many times when rushing I might lose a couple of guys to some Italian squad sitting on the side in some building away from the cap zone we cap the point which is pretty uncontested and that squad is still sitting there until spawns move forward and either they try linger and spawn rape or get mopped up by the allied next wave.
In a quite a few maps where allied were defending I found myself getting super bored as they camped in spawn and barely pushed out of the grey. It’s like they didn’t know how to attack and only wanted to camp which after like 10 minutes both become impossible for them as the allies become firmly entrenched set up MGs and have tanks well positioned = they just get farmed.

Heck yeah! Those buildings offer ALOT of tactical ways to build up defensive structures inside. I love turning cap zones into fortresses when I’m too tired to attack back. Team is even grateful sometimes thanks to all the ammo boxes I set on every story (buddies can “BRRRRR” with Thompsons without end) and nearby rallies I’ve set up. I feel comfy in my built fortress, it’s my safe zone.
I played against a guy that uplifted battlefield fortifications to the next level.
He built sandbag walls, barb wire and ammo boxes between us (defenders) and the objective. When everything was ready, he went to the point itself and started capturinging it.
Of course you need extremly dump enemies to pull this off. But if you play as allies, it shouldn’t be a problem.
From my experience from almost only playing axis a lot of the matches i simply will just leave due to the fact that 50% if not more of my team are bots due to the lack of players, it’s not even worth it to try and play that match since we will get steamrolled.
It used to be that the matchmaking in tunisia in the CBT and early OBT gave a equal attack and defence but now its just the same shit as berlin where its 99% defence which gets boring as shit and annoying as well with the whole bots team nonsense.
Certain maps will have allies setting up little camps with campfire and lots of baked beans on hills and just killfarm with tanks and snipers and those hills tend to be in the grey zone so nothing we could even do if we wanted too.
Then there are the godawful weapon choices made by gaijin for the axis.
The 2nd tanks mg is fucking terrible so you cant properly support the infantry and a single detpack landing near you means you get to go into the forever box.
The sten gun is a nightmare to come across with the slowfiring smg’s the axis have and the shotgun also gets way outclassed by the allies counter as well.
the last tank unlock for now is also godawful for the axis since the allies get the grant and we get the little dinkie pos without a mg or even HE shells.
practically most of the choices we have weaponry and armor wise are just garbage compared to what we have to go up against.
The plus side is that the lvl 8 Beretta, although less lethal than the Thompson, is decent enough. It’s just good enough that it makes me feel I don’t really need a better SMG.
about the thompson, put 3 of him what sense does it make, they could insert m3a1, and the two thompsons at the end of the campaign, the last one then doesn’t even make sense to be used except to try it, since it is four levels after the second, and speaking from the point of view of the necessary orders it is a waste in the true sense of the word.
