Otherwise this weapon looks neat - the knife bipod certainly would look interesting in game.
While high powered for even BR5, these weapons could simply be Battle pass, event, or premium/event squad to help limit their power level.

Why would it be a machine gun, while its counterparts are all rifles? That doesn’t make any sense. The MGs are balanced the way they are in game to reflect the weight of the weapon system. Why would a rifle have a movement penalty? Why would a weapons system designed to be a select fire rifle be considered an MG? This doesn’t even account for the actual balance aspect of it, given the AVS-36 was one of the best SF Rifles at BR 5; the ROF increase was a nerf for sure but it’s still powerful. Putting it in a scenario where it can see BR 2 is ridiculously broken.
This suggestion is like giving the BAR 1918 to rifleman arbitrarily while keeping the WAR, Monitor, and 1918A2 to machine gunners, and removing the speed and accuracy penalties. It mechanically makes zero sense because they’re all very similar weapons. But hey, let’s do it, because…reasons I guess.
Isn’t this already the case with stuff like Fedorov MG and Type Hei MG being classified as MG while Fedorov Avtomat and Type Hei auto are Assault rifle and Select fire rifle respectively all the while being almost identical to the “MG” version ?
I am not saying that the devs should add the AVS as a lower BR mg, but this wouldn’t be the first time the devs introduce similar stuff.
the 25 mag
Fed MG is specifically the Fedorov-Degtyarov light-machine gun model with the air cooling jacket from the Lewis gun. It was a prototype machine gun, but that was its specific role, whereas the Avtomat was more of an rifle replacement (at least per Forgotten Weapons, it’s believed to be used as a semi-auto with a “oh shit” switch. Still not really an Assaulter weapon, but it’s definitely not designed to fill the slower-moving LMG role). I’m not sure if/how much the jacket and bipod add on to the weapons weight though (I think 6.6ish lbs? If so, then that brings it close to BAR weight).
The THA is kind of a fictional gun in how enlisted uses it, probably because Japan has no other domestic option for SF rifles. The model with the gun shield (Shisei Chō Kei Kikanjū) was designed as an “Ultralight Machine Gun”; I don’t know of any model without it designed as a standard infantry rifle like Enlisted has. I personally don’t agree with the THA LMG’s ridiculous 65% sprint modifier based on its weight (and given that the RD-44 only has an 80% modifier!) , but I imagine it would fit in this class due to its designation as a “ULMG”
Correct me if I’m wrong tho, gun nerds. I only did some quick google fu, so I’m open to learning.
WHY?
WHY? You wanna add more nonsense???
i mean 20 rounds are not enough? jesus not even the germans cried so much for a 150 rounds mg…
at this point it will be reasonable to ASK for a FG42 with 10 mag at BR1
I would keep these as actual BR 5 rifles for events or BP and add some other LMG prototypes with 20-25 round mags to fill gaps in BR 2 and 3.
I don’t understand. An option to chose - better ROF or better recoil - is good opportunity. It would be nice for every nation. I found something for soviets - you are open to suggest anything you want for the others.
For me, it’s also a good thing for event, the veteran box or some other ways like premium squad because okay It’s kind of the avt for 20 rounds, just something different. To make your gameplay experience more variative
bro you alredy have the AVS which have similar rof to fg42 to beggin with just 5 rounds less along the fact is has Low recoil and then you have the standard AVT 40 20
isnt that enough? really isnt it? you guys alredy have the best SF on the game which turned meta upside down once again and you wanna more?
Avs is quite inaccurate - I can’t even hit the target at 50 meters. So for me it kind of meh.
20 rounds AVS give at least an opportunity to fight in close combat as well as FG-42.
Have 20 rounds is a base for a comfort gameplay. I spend 1500 messages topic just to explain that simple truth - and don’t want to start over and over again. Hope you all understand that
0.22 to 0.18 accuracity??
wut kind of problem is that :_: it goes even far away from skill issue more like RNG issue and i guess that is relationed to ur perception but in reality ur are wrong : V
ofc it is but thats why i always asked for a 20 rounds mag for AVT, also you really love to mention the cqb combat when it comes to FG42 but gotta mention that most combat into the game is always on mid ranges where you more likely get cooked my more precise weapons and btw even on close ranges by taking 5-10 steps back ur armor will have the same effectiveness as when FG42 was nerfed and yet most CQB is on that distances of 10-20 meters and almost never below 5 meters since bots will more liketly shoot ur back fater or use melee so more than 5 meters is the ideal always to clean whole rooms
Can I say somewhere I’m playing well? no, I’m just an average player, but okay I want some comfortable dnd also I’d like to choose. Because now. For Soviets avt for 20 rounds is the only option. No one will take avs for 15 rounds, it’s a big difference so. In this case, I can’t see any ways. Besides, add an avs for 20 rounds. And only then will be a pretty equal position fg-42 fg-42-2.
For the close combat purpose. Fg-42 with rate of fire 1000 will be much better than something with the rate of fire 660. I don’t know. What else can I say even even if avs for 20 rounds will be added? It’d still be less rate of fire so less effective in close combat, I don’t know actually what else to say.
why would you choose FG42 over the FG42 II ??? tbh the first version is a big nerf it has way more dispersion and recoil to beggin with the rof is a curse and this statement proves why im trying to say:
an knowing that also the devs gave the Same dispersion that avs has to avt 40 20 it makes me think that they will do the same with avs with 20 bullets basically increasing the powercreep
Well, I have only one solution for you this way, if FG-42 don’t have enough fire power (for me its amazing)
Simple switch to any other nation and thats what i did im “rushing” soviet TT but since im to lazy it will take me a while maybe this year i manage to finish it
This is unfortunately a skill issue from you. You can’t buff a weapon until EVERYONE can use it. The point is to learn how to use a weapon.
Can you stop asking for weapons ? You already have the best weapon in the game, the AVT 40 20.
AVS already has way better accuracy and damage compared to FG 42 II . A weapon can’t be best in everything, not even in most of it. You can’t ask for 20 bullets magazine while having all these advantages
Man u just have a massive skill issue, get gud at the game, stop blaming the weapon. I have 200 ping and perform just fine with any weapon given. Maybe stop blaming the weapon first, and think that maybe i have a skill issue. That is how u get better in games and in life . U already have the lower dispersion and higher dmg, higher bullet velocity. U have already ruined the gun by giving it 880 RoF, because of mentality of higher RoF = Better gun, which clearly has shown it isn’t. If u wanna talk realism. Ur gun should break apart after 1 magazine of full auto
I’m not the worst player, 5 years is 5 years. How long you play in this game? I feel it inaccurate and have a right to admit it.
More content is good. This game lives as long as new content is coming. AVS for 20 rounds will be fine
But FG 42 have higher ROF even with compare to AVS. So after AVS for 20 rounds will be added - there will be still advantage for FG 42 in close combat. At the distance as I sad AVS quite inaccurate weapon.
