I think not. The fg-42-2 is already in Normandy for sniper and is not called “sniper”. It cannot be given as new for radio 2.
The mkb makes no sense since there is already an Mp43.
I have hope that we will avoid powercreep and stop at fg 42 and m2 (let them just fix the sight, although I already started to see a lot of strong players with it, which does not interfere).
I, like I said, hope to see some cool new grenade launchers, and maybe something from the planes. The Axis desperately needs a normal fighter or attack aircraft with more of the weaker missiles.
At least the me410 disappointed me, same thing, only the guns require less skill, but can’t kill infantry.
Also, do not forget that tomson with a drum was once promised and so it will be another SMG for the axis in response (really why does it need it?) I would rather take mg with a tape at 100, do not want to grind 35 level usa for m1919, but want to try.
Oh, and one more thing: I am VERY hopeful to see motorized infantry units at level 39-40. Just give me a damn armored personnel carrier.
This will give the interest of the game on the initial tanks, since it will be an easy target for them, but it will be more reliable to throw your squad to the point, although some maps will be littered with the remains of machines in this case.

Johnson lmg is machine gun like its name says so hopefully no, but maybe M1907 SF (from BFV) could fit
FG 42 is also technically an LMG, as that was one of the things the designers were trying to replace for paratroopers. For the Johnson, its more of an Automatic rifle like the BAR than a proper LMG. Furthermore, the stats and performances of both guns are close enough, as both are about 5 kg, have a 20 round box mag and has a similar ROF depending on the variant of either gun. I don’t think the M1907 is a good choice as the full auto conversion was a French thing, done on a very tiny scale.

Well, devs don’t give a shit probably, but I understand you. Maybe there is other option. It wouldn’t be completly bad if Johnson lmg was in game as Assault rifle, but I prefer not.
used as an LMG found out that putting an automatic rifle into an LMG role wasn’t a good idea so they started to shift to the 1919a6

It was used as the squad automatic weapon, but thats really what the FG 42 was used for for the Fallschirmjager too. The Johnson LMG was also used in a similar light, being used as the squad automatic weapon for things like the Special Forces Service. These weapons aren’t exactly machine guns or fill that role, but have been used in that way. Also, US doctrine when it came to issuing weapons was rather lax on what was issued, so the BAR could in theory be used on mass.

Rather than being manufactured as an M2 Carbine, this variant was converted from an existing M1 Carbine and has a weighted stock(pouch on the stock) and a slower fire rate plus less recoil due to the conversion process.
