So I am finishing the US campaign of Normandy and now I want to play the German faction then later as Japanese.
As the tittle says, which campaign is best for the Germans? Personally I can’t decide between Berlin and Normandy. I am expecting for Berlin to have the highest technology (guns and tanks), but I played a little bit in Berlin with the Soviets, and the map isn’t that interesting for me while I like Normandy map better.
A good example of this for US is that I like US in Normandy the best since they have the best planes,tanks and guns there.
And have in mind that ,just play multiple German campaigns’’ won’t cut it for me, since I aiming to finish a campaign once with every faction and then maybe later if I want to play more, factions in other campaigns as well.
It seems like you already answered your own question: you want strong German equipment, so either Normandy or Berlin; the equipment in Berlin is the most advanced. But you don’t like the maps, so that is out of the question. You will be missing some strong equipment, like FG2 and King Tiger, but those are not so important that you would need to play a campaign that you don’t like. One thing in Stalingrad there is the MP717 (German ppsh), which after the merge will not be obtainable anymore, so you’re going to have to think about whether grinding a campaign because of one gun is worth it to you.
the only bad one is tunisia, the others are fine. try them all out 3 games (only play maps you like though, otherwise it distorts the impressions) and just decide for the one that feels the best. i went with moscow first and its still my favorite
I started my italian grind! (Cos i want italian squads incase some of them disappear). Really hoping to have Bersaglieri or Paracadutisti Folgore uniform options at some point (cool looking ones).

The mustaches allows Italian speech. It’s like one of those magical trinkets in Baldur’s gate.
I maxed my Tunisia axis a whiiile ago, but once I learn the conversion is coming, i’ll probably use all my orders on Brits and Italian soldiers. I doubt we will be able to recruit them for a while.
Also if you are a colector, the general items, like ammo bags and first aid kits, have different skins in Tunisia. THOSE DO NOT CHANGE IF YOU SWITCH CAMPAIGN! I found out the event Aussie assaulters in Pacific, came with their own unique commonwealth first aid kits, like those in Tunisia. Those CANNOT be obtained in any other way in Pacific, and will most likely be the case after the conversion.
So, if like me you want your squads to “look” like Commonwealth or Italian squads for the fun of it (even if it means nothing gameplay wise) I’d stock on those too!

My whole plan is to skin Allies as Commonwealth (No american units, its why I got tempest, fire fly and british paras)…I finished Allies Tunisia a looooooong time ago
AS for Axis I want my Italian, Hungarian and Romanian units too so…
It’s what I’m guessing from the Aussie squad anyway (criminally underrated btw, this Sten like smg is just stable enough for Pacific, and since it’s recoil makes it fire in a cone instead of just up, perfect to find targets behind foliage…)

Common mistake. compare it to other allies smgs, and until you get your hands on nothing less than tommies, it’s quite great. Great as in very well balanced. just right ROF, decent damage per bullet, minimal recoil. Got some dispersion, but easy to manage.
No. I played pacific for a few weeks on launch, then had a few months break. Must have been then…I missed out on Aussies (Didnt even know they were a thing)…I missed out on 25 shot bolt action rifles…grrrrrrr
SMG? Just buy the Browning Auto 5, is better than any SMG for early-mid game, I mean you won’t do shite from long range, but you can’t do that either with SMG with such shitty spread so why even bother? Just use a shotgun
I advise you to play Berlin.
You unlock Panther G at lvl 12,in Normandy that will be at the end at the end of the campaign starting from next major update.
Panzerfaust 30 and 100 are better, Fg42 II is better, StG44 will also be in Berlin.
Berlin unlocks are better and also faster, you will win more times than you would in Normandy Axis making progression even faster.
Normandy Axis have 2 special equipment Berlin doesn’t have are impact granade and FG42 II sniper.
You will quickly unlock those anyway after the merge.
I think I am going to go with Normandy. I mean when I look at their guns and tanks, there isn’t really a drastic difference between them and Berlin. And I would rather grind in a map that I enjoy. Idk something about Berlin doesn’t appeal to me.
I am mainly interested in k98 MG42 and MP40 and STG44. The airplanes are kinda useless in Berlin since it’s all urban and there is Tiger in Normandy, maybe they will add Tiger II later, since I think it’s historically accurate
