When we gonna get some Ghillie Suits?

if they are at long/medium range you won’t be able to see them but im open to making them visible at close range because you brought up the fact that you can still hear the sound of a shot and track its location generally

Maybe, just maybe. Instead of saying that an entire community is a bunch of wooden doors. Just look in a mirror for once. Its really hard to discuss anything with you.

I want this! > Well this and this is a reason why that is not fun/wont work etc. >> I want this! > But this does not seem fun > I want this! >> But X or Y reason > I want this!

And the guy that says I want this non stop without any regard for anyone else says the community is at fault and it is like talking to wooden doors…

lol i didn’t say the entire community was like talking to a wooden door… just that 1 person specifically after they commented back with shit that i already said i didn’t do…

and im not saying “i want it” im giving actual reasons why it would be useful for specific playstyles but not for others and im adjusting the suggestion parameters to peoples concerns to try to make it more appealing to them…

the fuck have you done other that pout and say “NO!” hmm?

and then ontop of it i have to deal with the morons screaming that ghillie suits weren’t used in WW2 and aren’t historically accurate but if you do a quick 5 second google search you can pull up thousands of photos of soldiers in all different countries wearing basic ghillie suits… (AKA a mesh sheet/netting that holds pieces of the surrounding brush on you to decrease the chance you’ll be seen in cover)

Just remove kill cam, it’s arcadish and call of duty like. As for ghillie suits, I’m not enough of an expert on the matter to be sure if they would fit historically.

That’s a problem right there, it’s a bit too fast paced.

I don’t think the killcam is going to go, with some bush monster costumes or without. Killcam is not added to deal with snipers exclusively, it’s to prevent blatant camping and to improve learning. It’s the least useful for highlighting snipers for you as it doesn’t show anything on the map and doesn’t zoom in like in some other games.

It encourages some people, to camp from far away. If you can’t deal with people retaliating to your actions then I don’t know what to say. Perhaps other games will suite your playstyle better, like ARMA for example.
Here the system is simple, I can setup MG in a narrow arc and mow down most of the infantry crossing that arc. Without a killcam, most people won’t even know where those shots came from and there is not much you can do to figure it out. Without killcam it would be largely a no-risk camping, like even tanks usually don’t notice me unless I hit them, because most of them don’t care that infantry is getting mowed down. Without killcam, people will just keep running on the same route and getting mowed down again and again.
With killcam, some people will respawn and take another route, potentially funneling into another MG. Some will try to retaliate, which you deal with by not being gready, meaning your position needs to have cover on angles that are no covered by your mg. You can prepare multiple positions too and switch if one gets too hot.
Some will retaliate with tanks or bombs, you deal with that by having replacement specialists in your squad, or by preparing positions such that you stay away from the window as far as possible.

In summary, killcam adds dynamics to the battle, it adds extra facets to gameplay that you need to deal with. Killcam is not specific to snipers. There is no need to add items to the game that would completely disable this important feature.

H&G has a badge you can put on that disables killcam, I have it on my snipers. You don’t need any ghille or anything, can sit 100 meters away from some objective on the flank, or 400 meters away somewhere on the hill. There is hardly any risk to it, the only way someone will locate you is by randomly stepping on you or by sound, later is dealt by not shooting rapidly or being somehwere that will take a lot of time for other person to reach.
But some people, take this badge on for example paratrooper and then camp on trees, you can get it even on a tanker. There are quite a few ways to abuse it. This creates a different dynamics.

and the problem with anything your saying is??? if your a squad built around stealth and shooting from distances that should make you basically invisible you shouldn’t pop up on enemy killcam

like jesus first the complaint is people camping too far away and not helping with the point now its being used as an argument against them, honestly the irony is astounding

and how exactly would ghillie suits effect everyone not running in different directions when they spawn… if you got shot going a specific direction you have 2 fucking choices regardless

  1. go the same direction… 2. go another direction…
how exactly would that change with the addition of ghillie suits… people would still go whatever the fuck way they want to go…

and true while killcam is not specific to snipers it benefits the enemy the most when they are killed by a sniper since it allows them to find a soldier who should otherwise be very difficult to locate extremely easily… when your running in with a fuckin smg the killcam doesn’t really effect you because the enemy’s usually can see you just shot them from 15 meters away…

and as iv repeated on multiple occasions like a fucking broken record player and il repeat it again but this time il put in it capitol letters so the next person to comment about every squad just using a ghillie suit to abuse invisible to killcam function will figure out iv already thought of it…

USING A GHILLIE SUIT IN MY SUGGESTION WILL REDUCE YOUR MOVEMENT SPEED BY 50% OTHERWISE KNOWN AT 1/2 OR “HALF” IN ENGLISH MAKING IT EXTREMELY USELESS FOR ANY ASSAULTER OR ATTACKER TROOP…

AND JUST EARLIER IN THIS THREAD I ADDITIONALLY SUGGESTED MAKING THE INVISIBLE FUNCTION WORK AT LONG/MEDIUM RANGE ONLY IN BUSHES, TREES AND LONG GRASS AND WILL NOT MAKE YOU INVISIBLE AT CLOSE RANGE REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE CAMPING.

IS THAT FUCKING CLEAR ENOUGH SO I WONT HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF A 14TH TIME…

sorry if it seems like im tripping on you but iv had wayy too many people talk about ghillie abuse on all squads when it just wouldn’t happen if they slowed you down by 50% because it would be like shooting fish in a barrel on anyone charging in…

I don’t care about movement speed. For example my MGs are already very slow, most of the time they are stationary, your 50% “debuff” makes no difference here. But making them pretty much invisible, as I use mg at medium to long range and killcam is how they get spotted, makes it very OP.

Btw, snipers in this game are not build around the stealth, they are just soldiers with a scope on their rifle and a little bit specific camo.

Yeah, I don’t know why you keep repeating the same stuff while being told multiple times that this idea is rubbish, almost like you don’t care what other people think about this.

Anyway, I’ve expressed my point on this subject, don’t see a reason to fuel this monologue any further.

-.-’ i repeat the same thing because you repeat the same crap talking about everyone abusing it, and its good that you understand that movement speed plays a part in keeping you alive when rushing in

also you understand that killcam helps players spot you at distances you shouldn’t be able to be spotted at and your still alright with that… that’s like wiping your ass with sandpaper because you think toiletpaper hurts too much…

Just use the natural foliage.

Then they should get rid of the killcam then so we can use real infantry tactics like sniping and ambushes…

doesn’t help because the moment you kill 1 guy in a squad a kill cam reveals your location with a red outline and while that might not be that bad in a pure human player base you damn near instantly get killed because bots tend to have better aim than human players at distance…

No you wouldn’t it would be class specific like the flamers fuel tank or the radio pack…

Ghillie suits have no place in Enlisted, their use during WW2 was very limited, as they saw very limited use, on specific fronts by special units.
Camouflage suits, on the other hand, could be great. The increase in camping could be offset by an increase in XP you get from capturing or holding points, and/or by engineers getting points for squads spawning close to capture points thanks to the respawn stations they’re building.

a ghillie suit is literally just a camo suit on steroids :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

and im guessing when you say “Camouflage Suit” you mean something along the lines of this

Sure, it’s a camo suit on steroids, but then, the T-54 is a T-34 on steroids, so the Soviet faction can get T-54 tanks in Berlin, right?

And I don’t have these camo suits in mind. I was thinking of this:

or this

yea basically the same as what i posted… camo coloured clothing, and sure T-54’s would be great, along side Hobart’s Funnies.

namely Chuchills Crocodile

Bro. They’ve been around since the Second Boer War, which was before WW1.
