they could be a very useful item it could be equipped in the backpack slot, could make you not appear on killcam but would reduce your movement speed by like 1/2 or 1/3 that way you wouldn’t just have everyone throwing on a ghillie suit to become a ghost, any attacker squad would most likely opt out for a pouch or backpack if equipping a ghillie suit slowed you down dramatically but for a sniper or gunner camping out in a bush it wouldn’t really be detrimental to lose a bit of mobility for increased stealth

but this is apparently a WW2 game and they did happen to use ghillie suits in WW2… they may not have been your 20th century ghillie suits but they still worked nonetheless

i never run into the problem of people not helping points or camping out… usually you’ll see the odd mortarman in the backlines pumping out shells in front of an ammo crate or a sniper picking off guys from across the map but i don’t run into campers doing nothing… no its more the opposite i run into wayy to many people blindly running head first into enemy fire getting picked off by the hundreds per minute …
and when you get the odd sniper who’s actually doing work he gets spotted from like 300 yards away by a fuckin radio man who just previously got his head taken off by that sniper

yea people tend to forget about point A and C and go for B cause its a shitshow, honestly they need a single point game mode for this game where both sides have to try to take and hold a central point from each other

On topic, please no. They where there yes but not in quantity. If you add something to a game you have to make it available for everyone, meaning you will have a ghillie suit on every soldier. Would break emersion.

did you even read what i wrote of are you just replying to the title… i already thought about everyone just grabbing a ghillie suit… when equipped on a soldier your soldiers movement speed will be decreased turning you into a fucking walking target if you try putting one on an assaulter… like think about how easy it would be to pick off assaulters or troopers if they moved 50% slower… that’s what will make this a non-meta item…

and i already went over this with a few other people talking about how they would be generally useless because of the killcam which is the reason for suggesting the you will not show up on killcams function to the ghillie suit while you give up a bit of your mobility so it doesn’t become an item everyone in the game then has on their loadouts…

So no, not 100% will use it. Even if 10% uses it it will be way way way more then it was used in ww2 so it will break how a ww2 battle should look. Every sniper will use that, not every sniper in ww 2 used a Ghillie. So I really hope they wont add this.
again Miss PMS… having a ghillie suit on your soldier will slow you down by nearly 50% making you much easier to pick off by anyone… making it a terrible item for high mobility squads…
its thing called the “trade off” that makes the item non-meta
you would have to utilize cover to maximize the effect of the suit because if your just running across the map or into the point you’ll be moving like you got lead in your boots
additionally it should only make you invisible from killcam while in bushes, tall grass or near trees
Then we will have MG squads camping it out in bushes lol they dont care if you cant move. I think we should incentivize people to push more and not camp more
i mean,
sure. you can wear ghillie suit, but your weapon still make noises and when you kill someone, you are highlighted.
the problem would occour with people having max and low graphic. the first one can’t see you, the second one. is not sure if it’s a player, or a bush.
with this saying, i have neutral " vote " about ghillie suits, but i don’t think they should be included. for the simple reasons that you already have to deal with tanks, enemy squads inside houses, airplanes, yada yada yada, having even to check each bushes for snipers or ghillies it’s not ideal nor needed for the current gameplay.
but, this could be “fixed” if the ghllie would have different colors from the enivorement. perhaps more noticable. although, it would lose the main porpouse of a ghillie.
lastly, i don’t think it’s going to be introducted.

they didn’t talked about ghillies, but the part where they said:

they were talking about avoindig to be at the point that it would make someone invisible or harder to spot.
i have to remind you that gaijin got heavely criticized for the bushes over war thunder because those were indeed pay to win. at the point where they added the ability to obtain them. " to get away with it ".
so yeah, if they don’t make you invisible, i’m all for. if not, than it’s a no.

yep like i also said at the beginning of this topic machine gunners and snipers would benefit from this item the most… your literally just repeating what i pointed out but your doing it in a bitching and complaining manner…
and like many people have pointed out before if they don’t remove you from killcam then the ghillie suit is utterly fucking useless because all it takes is killing 1 person to give your location away… which wouldn’t happen in real life… it would take more then a single shot for the enemy to figure out exactly where your posted up… especially if your laying down in a bush wearing a suit that’s covered in the bushes
as for the suits colour its a simple enough problem to solve… just make the brush on the suit reflect the map your going into… like you would do with a real ghillie suit… not not gonna be wearing swamp brush going into a fucking winter battlezone… also take into account that in urban situations where there isnt a lot of nature ghillie suits would have very little use since you would appear on killcam then because your not in bushes in nature
