The Japan vs Soviet event is probably something we will see relatively soon. However, given the amount of effort usually put in to the april fools events, I imagine at least a portion of the team has started on whatever they plan for this year.

All I want is for them to fix the incoherent squad progression and give us a detailed inventory panel for everything we have

I honestly doubt they are cooking up anything substantial. They’re probably just working on more weapons, vehicles and some weird April fools event. Or some other inconsequential ascetic change that no one asked for like new foot prints or something. But almost certainly they are not working on anything that will significantly make the game better or bigger. Oh and they’re definitely not focusing on fixing any of the many broken things or inconsistencies.
A better question is, how many things will break when the next update drops? Or how many shadow changes will occurs with it?
2025 will probably be a bad year for Enlisted.
