Mine is Mp40 don´t know why, maybe because sight are good, damage decent and fire rate “perfect” for me.

MP-40 is honestly the perfect SMG in game
Great in every aspect though its master of none
I think my fave is the Garand, Dragoon, or Springfield 1903

Man, that’s difficult. I could name a whole list of weapons, which are great for various reasons and tell you why they are best for certain situations.
But if I had to pick just one, it would have to be the Enfield No. 4. It just feels good.
Great damage like all bolties, one of the best rates of fire and best magazine capacity. And the sight picture just really agrees with me. It was already my favourite boltie in CoD 1.
Honourable mention to the C96 for best gun in the pistol category. For one thing, it’s just so damn iconique. Also capacity, range and easily controllable recoil. It can substitute for an SMG in a pinch. Han shot first.

It is difficult to narrow it down to one…
I like American military weapons and collect model guns, plastic models and action figures. … So naturally I like American military weapons.
I love M1 Garland, M3 submachine guns, Thompson. I’m glad this game has countless variations of the Thompson. 
I found the M2 carbine to be so powerful that I changed the weapons of everyone in my unit to it, but I still think it’s not immersive if you want to play WW2, so now my bots are equipped with M1 Garlands and Thompsons.
Furthermore, I also like Soviet military weapons. I recently bought a plastic model of the T34/85 and spend my weekends either playing this game or finishing the plastic model little by little. I still like the iconic Mosin Nagan as their weapon of choice, but I learned through the game that there are multiple variations of the Mosin Nagan. I also like the ppsh-41. 
German weapons are also cool, after all, the stg44 and MKb42H/W are the best. I’m currently grinding the Germans in Berlin and the FG42II is my newest favorite. It has a nice firing sound, low recoil, good power, a versatile weapon that can be used at any distance, and above all, it looks cool. 
The Germans in Berlin have their flamethrowers and machine-gunnery troops dressed in parachute troop clothing, so I switched all their gear to the FG42 II this morning.

There are many guns I love in this game, but the RD-44 is probably my favorite.

My top 5 (in no particular order) would have to be:
- M2 Carbine, can be put on almost every soldier, amazing gun
- M3 Suppressed, not the best, but is funny and easy to use (Especially with less bullets flying your way)
- MP-40 (Silenced in particular), an already amazing SMG made even better by making AI react less towards it
- Charlton Automatic Rifle, I love the damn thing, and especially so what the gun is, a fully automatic Lee-Enfield
- Pedersen Device Springfield, definitely far from the best, but is a gun I personally have a lot of fun with, and that’s what matters in games, having fun. It’s effectively a 40 round pistol that doesn’t come with the god awful pistol dispersion
Honorable Mention: De Lisle Carbine / Welrod, god awful weapons that are just funny to get a kill with, both being bolt actions that require at LEAST two shots to even just down, with the Welrod even being able to not OHK on a headshot due to that poor of damage

A lot like everyone says haha the Suomi Jäger squad is awesome though. Gun is amazing and the squad looks kickass too 
unrelated, but I wish they’d change the kar pouches for Suomi pouches, at very least copy paste ppsh pouches

Stalingrad’s AVT-40, visual recoil is higher compared to the normal version but I’m better with it for a reason still unknown to me
Both Kiraly variants are also some of my favorites, they’re some of the best smgs for sure

I was wondering how my ranking of favorite guns would change after the faction merge.
The guns in this game cover multiple variants that exist due to year of manufacture and other factors. For example, MKb42(H) and MP43/1 against StG44.
These guns are separated by each campaign, but after the merge, all StG families will be available for the German camp.
Right now I like both the Sniper MKb42 from Stalingrad and the Sniper MP43 from Berlin, but after the merge we will examine which one is better.
For now, I’m going with the Sniper MKb42 because of the iron sights and the ease of viewing the scope, but the MP43 seems to be more accurate, so we’ll see how it does on maps other than Stalingrad…
I am looking forward to the merge.
There’s sniper STG-44 in berlin, 43 is just normal without scope there.
