Got the flank on a tiger. Shot 2 rockets up its A$$. Nothing happened. switched to sides. Nothing. Damage window showed absolutely no damage being taken by tiger. Its like i was shooting HE at it.
Basic math
Tiger’s armor on sides & back: ± 80mm
M1’s penetration: 60mm

I’m not spamming forum. Mind your own business
Yeah basically the M1 Bazooka cannot go through Tiger’s armour anywhere. The PIAT can do it on the lower sides but that is still difficult. The M9 should be good on the flank, but I don’t have it yet. Sending an explosive pack beneath the Tiger or using TNT on the top are for me the best ways to get rid of it.
Take this and good luck soldier o7
as i’m grinding with the allies over normandy,
i noticed that anti tank weapons from the at bomber class, do absolutely nothing.
the m1 bazooka you can’t really kill tigers as it wasn’t really designed to.
with the m9 and piat, you have to aim for the pixels between the track and the side plate.
but it’s really difficult.
hence, i suggest you to ditch bombers entirely.
if you wanna kill it much quicker and at a higer efficency ( which i tested and works 100% of the times ):
- cook for 4 seconds the explosive pack, and chuck it at the side.
or
- place a tnt between the engine deck grills and the back of the turret.
that thing will go off faster than fireworks.
you’re welcome.
Most efficient ways to stop a tiger
at short distance:
1- aim for tracks and destroy its mobility
2- throw explosive/plant tnt on its sides.
Long distances:
building at gun
Or bombing from above
With a tank:
Flank if you can
They’re tolally f***ed up with numbers of caliber and penetration.
Its real caliber is 60mm, but they’ve wrote 30 for some reason…
Same with penetration… 60 instead of 100…
Yep, it’s complete bizarre.
AteNTion To detAiL
agreed for caliber
also sources for penetration are varied and also depend on the rocket. this is explained good in this topic

here is post:
The manual for the M6A1 is non-commital and just says:
- EFFECT.
a. ROCKET, H.E., A.T., 2.36", M6A1, has effect against various targets as follows:
(1) ARMOR PLATE. Penetration of armor found on most tanks may be expected at all ranges. A hole is blown through the armor and heated particles of metal are sprayed through in a cone shaped pattern. Any ammunition within this pattern is usually exploded.
(2) MASONRY. Penetration of brick and masonry from several inches to a foot or more, depending on quality of structure, may be expected.
(3) STRUCTURAL STEEL. Produces shattering effect against cast steels and such materials as girders and railroad rails. Produces extensive damage, probably irreparable, to motor blocks.
(4) WOOD. Penetration of timber from several inches to a foot or more, depending on the timber, may be expected.

The Bazooka penetration is most often cited at 75mm - 126mm.
One of the reasons for the large range of reported penetration may be that most sources don’t discriminate between the various WW2 rockets, and then the type and quality of the armour is always a variable and can make a large difference; and the angle of attack (zero/90 degrees, 30 deg. 45 deg. 60 deg.) will also make a substantial difference to penetration results.
After a lot of research (for my own project) looking at numerous published sources, I would roughly say the following was about right:
At a 30deg slope/angle which is the standard for pen results:
M1 Bazooka with M6 rocket (75-80mm pen)
M1A1 Bazooka with M6A1 rocket (around 100mm pen?)
M9 Bazooka with M6A3 rocket (120-126mm pen)The M6A1 was the hardest to find solid sources for.

Another tip for killing tigers… Tossing a couple of molotovs on top of the engine, and then sitting back and waiting for the fire to disable/ignite the tank. Which is when you shoot each crew member as he attempts to extinguish the vehicle and then repair it.
This works for all tanks.
Not reliable nor efficient. But it’s fun.
Mostly tanks shrug off molotovs - VERY occasionally they will catch fire.
except molotovs in the top of an open toped vehicle as an exception of course - that always gets attention!!
In my experience, it almost always takes two molotovs to make the engine catch fire. Tried it many times in practice mode.
But for some strange reason, the results were better in normal games and from time to time a single molotov was enough. Maybe different tanks have different amounts of HP for the engine, dunno.
Idk, from my experience is completely RNG based. Definitely not reliable enough. But maybe I just lack skill.
So technically you should be able to pen Tiger 1s from the front with the M9? I hope devs implement the correct stats soon.
acually that was the m9 zooka m6a3-4, m1 and m1a1 zookas used basic m6 that were like 80mm pen
Edit: was referring to the rocket used abitually ofc
