no sane person would grind in br I, having to be putted up against br II & III, just to then grind to reach br III equipment to then be trowed against IV & V all of a sudden.
maybe unpopular opinion here,
but bot games are actually great as long in each match there are at least equal players with the same battle rating.
even if that means a 5 v 5 with additional bots to fill the gap for each team.
Well true, I also do that, but my point… or where I am comming from is that I have played a bounch of BR1 matches yesterday and I have totally dominated the battlefield almost on my own, I felt kind bad for destroying noobs - well knowingly that some might possibly not return playing.
For me I am a bit of a min- maxer meta nerd, when I want to play boltactions I usually play BR2 at first untill I meet my first enemy KV1 which often makes me go to BR1, where my Panzer III J is very safe to play.
There were a couple “new player posts” recently complaining about lack of matchmaking, and I feel like the “universe” is hinting at my “evil” behaviour.
Or in other less crazy words: I feel like total noobs deserve a bit of a better safe space.
they just need to extend protected MM to something like 100 battles, let new players know that they are in newbie zone(and are playing against other newbies and bots) and have checkmark if they dont want to play in protected MM.
i think if we can get a fixed +1 1 br it would be fine
it is fighting +2 BR in a game with only five that is crazy
imagine warthunder/wot/wow/ br6 against br10
this is a net loss trade. the optimal way to execute this idea is by letting new players play by themselves and older players playing br1 among themselves.
but the overall plan doesnt work out, as new players not building any rallies means their games will be running simulators. only older players can ensure teams have rallies. especially since the lazy sweats avoid low br, especially br1, meaning responsible players who place rallies are higher concentrated in br1.
IDK if making BR1 exclusive to newbies is the answer, to me the problem is that they get infused into BR2 matches where it seems like most of the vets like to play. So, just make BR1 solely BR1.
On the other end of the spectrum BR5 should only be BR5. Then BR2 and BR3 could still be 1/1 and BR3 and BR4 would not have to face BR5.
In conclusion, BR1 is SOLELY for people playing with all BR1 weapons. BR5 is SOLELY for people playing with BR5 weapons. Of course, Dark Force doesn’t care about our concerns, so the whole topic is moot, therefore DOA.
Since the change on silver accumulation and research cost and the cheapening of items in BRI-II back five months ago or whatever it was, means new players are not going to stay BRI very long. As in, a few dozen battles and a lot of the BRII equipment becomes available. If they “Play Any Army” it’s even faster. (They’ll likely end up playing a lot of Japan to boot. Heh.)
While the learning curve on this game is abnormally high (particularly the research tree and other nuances) - the fact you have other soldiers in your squad also make the game one of the more “forgivable” FPS games out there. (Your penalty for death is mitigating by dropping to another squad member and once in a blue moon, your other squad members may actually shoot an enemy as well.)
As someone who’s still “new” - as in, I started last May, I can tell you, the real kick to the head comes in at BRIII.
Well, that and the aforementioned not understanding the Research tree (or the MM) and accidentally buying something that gets you dropped into BRV matches for a week straight, and then having to go hunt on the forums for why such a goofy system even exists, and then how to fix it.
