I guess it is perfectly fine to have BR1~BR3 only tech tree for new nations like Britain and Italy, just like old times that Jap only has BR1~4 tech tree.
With same principle, other nations like French, Poland, or China could have BR1~2 tech tree with new maps.
Personally, as long as there is something new, it would be great.
Britain Could go all the way, Italy too if we consider Breda Semi Autos/select fires and Some really good planes. Italian Tanks might come up short at BR 5, But their 90mm cannon is no joke (in warthunder at least), and lets face it, Italy wouldnt be shooting at anything too tough (tank wise…maybe Super Pershing)
France, Hungary and Romania however could end at BR 3 IMO (and thus, remain As sub Factions)
With A low Population Id prefer the Brits and Italians to stay sub facitons as well BUT, split the tech tree up into USA and Britain, Germnay and Italy. That way you can choose who you want, and mix match if you desire…or not.
China too, if they ever added it (they won’t)
There’s more than enough equipment for the British to go to BR 5, possibly the Italians too. As for all the other factions, they would need to be subfactioned with somebody else to go all the way to 5.
Expect Romania both France and Hungry could go to BR 5 but like Italy France would lack good tanks for BR5 unless we give them American tanks and as for Hungry they would lack bunch of stuff most notably tanks ,AR and planes unless we give them German stuff(Funny enough Hungry has made an automatic rifle during the time frame between 1908 to 1910
Only BR 3 tech trees won’t happen.
Full focus on low BR just isn’t worthy.
There’s no good nation TBH bc the axis is called the Axis Alliance when you do a game no matter what campaign ur in
And other nations make up a lot of Axis and Allies tree so that’s out
France is pretty meh bc they didn’t had much tbh
Yugoslavians are just 200 different countries guns mashed together with yugo and Albanian guns with a lot of Italian stuff
China same thing and makes it meh tbh there’s no real nation to add tbh if they find one I’d be shocked but I think they should move forward and do the Cold War like Korea or Vietnam (when they have the recourses and the game properly fixed)
That was my thinking. Dont really want to fill out with copy and paste/Borrowed stuff, just to get them to BR 5.
They certainly have enough to have a great BR 3 Lineup at least.
Stuff like the Frommer could be fit into BR 3 as a BAR equivalent sort of thing, or MKB 35/III. BR could dictate its performance stats.
But Japan eventually get to br5. I don’t think they will add new tech tree for nation that cannot reach br5.
I think it is better for them to be sub faction.
Those 90mm vehicles are all glass cannon similar to flak bus. So br4 at best.

Instead of just canning that concept entirely, they could at least take those items and fold them into the existing trees There’s a lot of good equipment in there that’s not even in the game
