Weapons and vehicles to add to Western Allies

76 Jumbo. This will be the American counter to the Tiger 2 and probably the best tank in the game…

Drum mag m1 Tommy gun. The m1 is the fastest firing tommy gun. It is crap due to its lower magazine size. A 50 round version will make it the best tommy gun and will be a good buff to the Western Allies.

Instead, they should buff the existing drum mag’s firing rate.

T20 basically full auto garand with bar magazine

F6F Hellcat… Right now every Japanese plane outclasses their American counterparts. It also doesn’t help that the A6M is suped up beyond it’s actual capabilities while the Wildcat got nerfed.

I’m going to guess you haven’t played this game a whole lot, or perhaps you only play a single campaign and don’t pay attention to game news.

The ARE Drum mag Tommy guns. Tunisia Allies have them, as well as Paratrooper premium squad on Normandy.

When the merge occurs, it is very likely that this weapon will be accessible to American and/or British Forces.

I’d love to see the F6F in this game.

The M1 and M1A1 Thompson were not built to take drum mags, Allies have M1928 with drum mags.

I am a Tunisia allies and Normandy allies and Moscow allies main and used to be a Marshall. I mean that the m1 Thompson is the only weapon that is scarily close to the dpm of the ppsh due to its firerate. However, it’s crap due to its magazine size.

Well I do not know about the first 1

Lol I searched. You are right (sadly

Fire-rate isn’t EVERYTHING.

Personally, I’d rather have something with higher damage/ bullet, controllable, and fast reload.

The Thompson already have high damage. It is about making it better and really fire rate is the only thing to improve. Increasing damage will make it an assault rifle or the buff will be unnoticeable. Smg all have low recoil and high dispersion. Fire rate is the only thing preventing Thompsons to be ppsh level(fun fact older models have higher fire rate than the ppsh. Also all smg cannot one shot so you need the fire rate to kill someone fast. Maybe you are right for rifles, but u definitely want a high fire rate plus large magazine size

I’m not talking about the Tommy Gun when I say:

I think the Tommy guns are fine as they are and don’t really need additional buffs.

What you need to consider is that not ALL weapons of the same types need to have similar characteristics.

  • The PPSH has extremely high fire rate, but also has bad accuracy at longer ranges and has pretty bad damage fall off. Meaning that it is ONLY useful for close range.

  • If you look at the MP40 for example, it has a slower fire rate, but has decent accuracy at mid ranges. Additionally, it has less issue with damage fall off. Meaning its stronger for medium ranges.

  • The Tommy guns have good fire rate as it is currently, moderate accuracy at medium range, moderate damage falloff. Additionally, they can be switched to semi-auto. (While this might seem worthless at first glance, I recommend you try semi-auto at medium range before you decide to ignore it.) Its a good middle ground between the Soviet and German SMGs.

My point is, that instead of pushing for more weapons that are just short range, run-and-gun weapons, consider that not ALL of them are supposed to be used that way.
