Tommy guns have much better damage but very slow bullets
Im saving this for an event squad idea.
The M1 can’t take drum mag cuz the mag well is different and doesn’t accept the drum horizontal slide insert magazine
And funny the IRL M1 has slower firerate due its complains from soldiers and changed to heavier bolt
PPSH 41 or any soviet SMG doesn’t have Accuracy issue but PPD40, the damage fall off barely matter since using SMG means you are morelikely using them in CQC
They do as it gets to mid-range.
Even though is can be mitigated by upgrading the weapon.
In Enlisted, cqc is part of the majority of combat in Enlisted. The accuracy stand point is not valid. For the ppsh it fires so fast that people will not lose anything by missing shots. Also, the damage of all smgs cannot one shot so fire rate matters. Also, ppsh, Thompsons are high level weapons and matches assault rifles. Ppsh compares with its amazing fire rate and magazine capacity. Thompsons however is has sort of decent damage compared to them, crap sights and decent fire rate. This does not make them as good. As a result, their fire rate should be buffed to improve tkt time.
And the fire rate helps too……
As fixed in my suggestions
We need it to match fg 42 2
FG 42 II isn’t an SMG, it’s a rifle. The counter is the M-2 Carbine. With that said; The M-2 Needs a proper Zero on the sights. (As does the M-1).
I think it was better. Same Engine, just a bit slower, but far more agile and able to out turn, out climb and outdive the Mitsubishi A6M
I know. It was a hot little thing.
If it and the F4U were added they would be so OP with their payloads.
I mean the full auto garand
Technically the M2 was better than the Garand. The Garand used a 30-06 round while the M2 Carbine used a 30-30.
In reality both rounds would drop anyone with one round. It urks me, but the game doesn’t work that way and it should.
Right now a lot of things are nerfed compared to real life. I am hoping that will change once the merge happens.
According u, the m2 carbine can one shot. So the fg problem is no problem. Well darkflow level balancing there
Not in the game, it can’t… I am referring to irl. I am pointing out that the imbalances in the game are a direct result of the devs not giving weapons their real stats. If they did, there wouldn’t be any imbalances at all. (As far as small arms)
They are tweaking things that do not need to be tweaked. SMG’s should not be used to shoot people 150+ meters away. That is not what they were designed for and doing so negates the purpose of bolt action rifles. SMG’s were designed for close quarters urban battles for suppression. MG’s were also designed for suppression and to block access. Assault rifles with full auto are also designed for suppression. (Only the first shot hits it’s target, the other rounds are to keep the enemies heads down)
Vehicles I can understand (to a point) but tweaking small arms fire wasn’t wise.
You are telling me indirectly the StG 44 and its variant can one shot too? Since the 7.92x33mm Kurz is lot more powerful than .30 carbine IRL
Yep… As I said, the small arms weapons did not need to be tweaked at all. All of them will one shot anyone irl if fired at center mass. Even modern NATO 5.56mm will one shot (though modern body armor will stop them)
In WWII no one had Body armor while at the same time, everyone was using bigger rounds. Power wasn’t an issue. Range, accuracy, velocity, dependability, ammo capacity, and weight were what made a weapon “good” or not. Or rather what made them better than others in certain situations. ALL OF THEM could one-shot.
So let’s take the 7.93mm STG 44 vs the 30-30 of the M-2 Carbine. STG had greater knock down power (but did it matter considering the fact all rifles of the era had more than enough knockdown power?). The M-2 carbine has a greater maximum effective range and faster round. But the STG held more rounds.
In reality and this is what really urks me, the M-2 had greater accuracy. Where German weapons were ball-park sighted, American weapons were zeroed to the eye of the soldier they were issued to. Now I understand that they can’t actually do that in the game nor is it necessary, but they didn’t even have the common courtesy to give the M1 and M2 the correct sight picture. (They did with the Garand which uses the same iron sights as the two Carbines) So they not only nerfed the two weapons, they also killed off their range when they didn’t need to mess with anything at all. They are creating imbalances that otherwise would not exist.
