Never playing high BRs but Whenever jets will come to game i will just build 2 AA guns on spawn and mount it with my shitty noob squads to upgrade them.at least if i can take them down of course
Knowing that there will be surely 1 flying around.
Also , i would have been much happier with much more common stuff added to game like a Hetzer or Cromwell for example… again, probably its because i prefer tanks/tds more then planes i suck in planes…
I feel jets should only be added once you start running out of options…was jets what the playerbase always wanted? I dont know i am new to game. Feels like they wanted to add something ‘huge’ to attract more players to game?
Will see how it adds to immersion, even though i hate being bombed by enemy planes, i just like to see them flying around as they adds to the immersion, as i run with my squad on ground seeing them flying low circling like sharks passing by i always try to shoot them down whatever weapon i have in hand i make sure i spray some bullets even though i know i wont take em down, unless iam lucky.
I’ve got a better idea - develop better gameplay instead of better fantasy!
You are paying someone far too much to write this drivel:
I mean for the high tiers that could come back the German 2 cm Flakvierling 38 AA (aka used to be here), the allied could get a 40mm bofors, Soviets 37mm M1939 (61-k), and Japan could get the Type 96 25mm triple gun
I think soviets should get 94km since it exists in editor. Usa could get oerlikon (that also is in editor) or m45 quadmount
Why not simply make these jets BR 6?
This way current BR 5 planes wouldn’t become obsolete while it also wouldn’t turn playing as BR 4 even more unattractive but makes sure these powerful jets only meet BR 5 planes to club.
That being said separating BR 3 from 5 was long overdue. This makes BR 3 finally attractive again.
@James_Grove it would be ever possible see the mig13?
Is both a propeller and jet fighter plane
The first flight was in the 3rd march 1945 way before the war ended in September of the same year, was armed with three 20 mm Berezin B-20 cannon with 160 rounds each. One gun was fitted on each side of the nose and the third fired through the hollow propeller shaft, and could carry small bomb, the maximum speed was 820 km/h and the turn time 20±s
They wont.
Because jets can only fly fast and not slow.
So they cant simply stay behind a piston plane and shoot it down.
They will need to make fast passes-by and target the enemy while they fly past them.
20mm AA is still very deady to planes if they hit.
The larger caliber AA guns might just do the same job the 20mm does but but with less rate of fire meaning they are harder to aim.
So who will chose to equip a piston fighter if they can bring 2 1000lb bombs instead.
If they really share the same pilot squad you cant just bring another plane just in case you need it for dog fights or the other if you really need a tank dead.
How is going backward to WW1 better than go forward in time? This is a WW2 game lol.
Ww1 isn’t seen in many games also alot of people have interest in that time period and also it will give bolt action enthusiasts gameplay they can enjoy.
Apparently not for long
I hope so.
I like ww2 era games, but if the eras are separated then I’m fine with enlisted going in a new direction.
Dogfighting was never a good idea in this game, suprise kills is what matters. If you’re dumb enough to get into a dogfight, the plane with the best turn speed will win (or the guy that remembers combat flaps are a thing), there’s no skill involved. The second you get into a dogfight the result will already be pre-determined.
You never get into dogfights with the Fw 190s, that’s just dumb, you use your superior speed and climbing ability to get swift kills or gtfo if you fail to land a finishing blow. Energy is king, and jetcraft will likely be emperors.
The props wont be obsolete no. But they will mostly likely only be flown by the Vets
Are the devs still collecting footage of how a panzerfaust works?
Or is there simply not enough material in order to fix the reload animation?
I actually disagree there, to compare the two HEAT shells,
The late war shell gains a significant amount of pen making it more than viable than even against BR4 tanks it could face, encouraging actual shot placement vs firing centre of mass with a lol pen round seems ideal to me too. Not to mention, with its reload, even the comparatively low pen of the early round is more than enough to deal with shermans and the like, just yesterday I was able to engage 3 shermans in a row with one, once you know weakspots your golden.
It goes without saying however though, that if you were to rebalance it to BR 3, you would need to rework its ammo loadout too. Its armour should be fine having very similar turret armour to the Pz 4J/H and only 10mm less hull armour. It would still be a premier tank at that BR, it would just shake up the coin toss of do you go for a high pen high post pen gun, or a HE spam machine.
Not to mention, the post pen of HEAT is still better than solid shot for some reason so eh to that point.
Not seen in many games is a double edge sword. That could mean that there isn’t that much people interested on it compare to popular ones.
Moreover, modern stuff also has its own supporter. So that many people interested in that WW1 time period doesn’t make it better.
I don’t think they are adding modern or cold war battle in the near future.
The Su-9 is just a compromise for adding jets into the game.
The game don’t have enough players to fill the new war yet and I doubt dev is capable to make those stuff consider their recent condition.
So where’s the challenge? With those large to massive calibers they will destroy or cripple with a single approach and with the aim assist you don’t even have to be a seasoned pilot to strafe and hit them from any angle.
Most important though is their combination of great speed and bombloads, allowing them to quickly rearm and bomb again. After all this is a ground focused game and air battles are just fun little distractions you might as well just ignore and run from with your superior speed.
I currently don’t see how they couldn’t become obsolete.
