True. I´ve never noticed someone asked about jets. They should focus on bugfixing and mainly… UNIFORMS! The Italians don´t even have their own uniforms outside N. Africa!
There are 10 soviet plane candidates that existed before 1946, reveal the spoiler and behold!
Yak-7 Ramjet
Su-5 Ramjet
(Mig) I-250 Ramjet
La-5 Pulsejet
La-7 Pulsejet
Bi-2
Bi-6 (only prototype for aerotube testing was made, but hey guys, we have Ho-Ri which was only made in wood model, who cares?)
“302” (Best option, imo, 4 SHVAK, 2 125kg bombs… 900km/h speed…)
And, finally, I-15 Ramjet
Pe-2 with liquid rocket engine.
So, ANY of them would be good. Except maybe I-15 with ramjet. Too powerful to add :Р
If we take only the year, then both the MiG-9 and the Yak-15 are suitable, the Yak-15 literally did not have time a month after the war
All of these planes are rocket-propelled, and only the 302p seems to be more or less, as it is fast and can carry bombs.
Wait, how?
They started to construct MiG-9 model in late autumn of 1945, I doubt they had any machines flying in 1945 at all. They approved the model in february 1946.
For Yak it wasnt Yak-15, but Yak-UMO, prototypes existed in december 1945, so, it counts, I guess)
I dont see any difficulties in rocket-propelled planes since we dont have actual fuel in game except when a bullet hits our plane?
And even then, not, most of those I showed are jet powered, not rocket. Ramjet + prop hybrids.
It wasnt a prototype, just a model.
Source of warthunder wiki is not… reliable, imo.
They made a model in december 1945, then approved it in february 1946, then produced prototype and it flew in april 1946, iirc.
Anyway, Yak-UMO is ok, I think. But even tho I would prefer prop-ramjet hybrids. Maybe with slightly upped specifications. Or “302”. Or even Pe-2 with rocket engine.
This is a regular Wiki. It seems to me that it is clearly written about engine testing, and it was clearly not done on a cardboard model.
Ofenrohr is now the Enlisted equivalent of WT’s Sherman.
they were first to research their own jet fighter sooooo no.
Fair enough the Jets are well needed. All nations get one and thats extremely fair. Stuff made after the war tho should not be implemented its just defeats the whole purpose of ww2. Yeah i was told if it was in the making at the time it can be added … a bit silly
It also says that it was developed in the years after ww 2 by reverse engineering the engines of a german 262 that they got as warspoils…(i.e after ww 2)
So…timeline is all twisted.
They did have a jet in ww 2 they built, i forget the name, but the prototype was built as a half sized glider because they never finished the engines…
This one
Soviets in ww 2 got as far as rocket propelled or ram jet,
Make BR V a “standalone”. Improve the BR-system like the following:
-
match BR I against BR II
-
match BR II against BR III
→ both exist and works good and -
match BR III against BR IV
-
match BR V only against itself
Oh sure, Ofenrohr for the Japanese… what a brilliant idea. I mean, who doesn’t love the classic “they got it from the Americans, who got it from the Germans” hand-me-down logic? Or even better, just pretend the Japanese randomly bought it from the Germans at some point. Because, you know, historical accuracy is totally optional. This is such a lazy pick… factions are just borrowing from each other now, and any sense of uniqueness is out the window. DF, where’s your creativity? Are you seriously not seeing how uninspired this is? It’s honestly embarrassing.
I hate how they think any sane person would want to play BR4 when BR5 only gets stronger and stronger each update. BR2 and BR3 should be the only truly dynamic BRs.
Will this update include a new map? I sure hope it does
It kinda is for years now.
I’m ready to be disappointed.
I could even take rzhev 2.0 with reused assets. Just any new location is welcome
