Weapon tiers shouldn't define the BR of them

real life is NOT balanced. making BRs purely chronological makes game balance impossible.

(which in itself is unscientific most of the time, if you look at details from weapon production/distribution).

The suppression capabilities of full-power weapons and large-magazine weapons are absolute
And against trucks all you need is an anti-tank rifle

Make an assumption
At least one of your enemies holds at the same time
Aircraft: 1 G2 (Rocket X4 37MM high explosive bomb), 1 F2 (250X2), JB (250X3), fighter (250X1 50X2)
2 teams equipped with semi-automatic and MP41R and 60 Iron Fist
A 75MM truck and flamethrower paratrooper

The equipment strength of a single player can completely crush you.
There are usually at least 3 such players per game

Sometimes the soldiers you need to do things are the first to die. Not complaining about it but it is how things go for the most part. Good old det pack does the trick for me in which case.

Trust me i know. As ive stopped entire pushes with a bolt action and explosive pack plenty of times.

It’s a pity that this is only a small number of cases
Most newcomers will die due to the absolute equipment advantage and quantity
Then they’ll hide behind and cry and refuse to fight

A lot of things already have stats altered for balance. M3 SMG for example.
So adding 10 more to the list won’t make a difference.

Stupid classification for this game. It just your typical fps shooter. Now h&g was a different matter.

@GENxCatrenko I don’t mind the idea. Nothing is OP on its own… (japes) but also has to do with team compositions, etc.

you have a tier 3 allied tank the enemy is a gray zone tiger 2 how do you kill it, and not players that can kill heavy tanks with aircraft is a one in three you will have one on your team second the tank is either in an urban are no flanking or on a hill and will not show anything but her front

This could be rectified by default every player having one tank and one plane slot, increasing the chances. I’ve been thinking the devs should make it so

Not to mention that there are things currently not in this game that could and should be added that add more dynamics to gameplay, ex heavy AT flak cannons

Also the tank is not the end all be all. Even if it’s a struggle all it takes is your team charging the objectives enough times. Yesterday in BR 5 Pacific my team was equipped entirely with Shermans while the Japanese literally had no tanks the whole match and they still won. And we all know that Shermans are superior to Japanese tanks in almost every way.

There are many matches where the combat ebbs and flows.

I tend to view that any one particular battle isn’t decided upon by one single factor but many different pieces. It’s all one big struggle but eventually one side comes out on top

and you are t leas ass often wrong as right i cannot count the matches when the enemy had one tank in front guarded by a second and between the two killed half of all infantry being sent against them and all tanks that dared show their guns, that is fun lol

Honestly when it comes to balance small arms are less of an issue in this game as CAS ability and Tank Armor is. Due to the small TTK Bolts can compete at high level given enough skill (though it is far less skill intensive to use something else). We saw this pre-merge as there was no Battle Rating and it wasn’t too bad overall. The main issue comes with tanks that have so much armor that a low end can’t do anything or CAS that is so powerful that dealing with it becomes priority 1 only to be replaced by another of the same type by another player.

So maybe, the best option is actually to rethink the Battle Rating. Small Arms loose their battle rating entirely, and only vehicles have a battle rating may be a better way to do it. (this is more of a brain storm rather than a suggestion).

I view it as it’s a rocky road to iron out this game. I’ve said before that perhaps this game would work better on a giant battle with an open map and more players

But for now I tend to think that historical BR wouldn’t be too bad because as stated there are so many different factors in the dynamics of combat. Which is why I say they should test other systems and BR systems.

Plus there is always the possibility of change. Maybe for now objectives need to be a bit bigger, or capture rates need to be tweaked so it’s not a 1 2 capture. And new things may need to be added like heavy AT flak cannons that act as the ultimate weapon against vehicles, or how maybe by default we should have 1 tank and 1 plane slot to increase that dynamic. Maybe there should be a vehicle score system as some have suggested before. Plus there are plenty of other vehicles and planes that can, should, and probably will be added to this WW2 sandbox that add more niches
