Weapon tiers shouldn't define the BR of them

I seen over the months the BR’s of some such as the lee enfield and mp40 being moved to br2. Would also give the game more variety if these changes were made, yeah not too welcoming to new players but at the same time, theyll already be paired up with players with good equipment.

USSR

-Ppd34/38 to br2 since it and the ppd40 were mostly used in the ealier years of the war and by the end of the battle of moscow, was replaced by the ppsh 41

-Ppsh-41 drum to br3 since it was used in moscow and then was mass produced and used throughout the rest lf the war.

-dp28 to br2 and the dpm to BR3

-akt 40 premium squad to br 3

Germany

-mg34 to br2

-mg42 to br3

-beretta m38 (40 round) to br2

-also other beretta m38 variants to br2

-vulksturm weapons to br rather 4 or 5 since germany didnt start making them until they started getting desperate to make weapons out of simple factory irons and weapons that were dirt cheap to make.

The US

  • Browning m1919 to br3 since it was used throughout the entirety of the war.

Japan

Cant brainstorm anything really since their campaign is one that concerns the entire time of the war

Federov should be BR1 because it was only used in the early war then

I simply think BR should be historical

BR 1- made before up to 1941
BR 2- 1942
BR 3- 1943
BR 4- 1944
BR 5- 1945

So AVS-36 and fedorov in BR 1 because they’re early war weapons?

This would absolutely destroy balance, no further comment…

Nerf them to match the new BR? Just an idea.

Also:

So it’s not unreasonable to request early war guns to be on low BR (with properly adjusted stats for balance) as it’s literally what devs said.

agree otherwise you are just encouraging seal clubbing, as well i have never seen anyone requesting an item up tier

Not really destroying balance so much when Germany has most of the experienced players and at least 1 or 2 rolling in with 75mm apc’s

I don’t necessarily think any one particular thing is OP, but more that it’s a combination of various factors such as team competency and circumstance

For example sure a KV 1 is a powerful tank, but literally just build an AT gun

And TTK is high so it’s just as easy for you to kill the enemy as it is for them to kill you

And I see the whole argument about “seal clubbing” and new players but I think the true solution is just to have new players in their own lobbies or have match making based on player rank or level.

For example, I was a Panzer 2 in early BR and practically right on top of the objective and I was only ever shot once by an enemy PTRD. But even at early BR an experienced player will perform well because they know what they’re doing

Plus the core game system itself can be changed, for example making objectives larger and adjusting capture rates

Im not opposed to that

didnt this happen to the kv1? i swear someone was being like “move kv1 to br4” when merge release or something but of course im probably wrong

Besides in a way id agree with the avs being in low tier, yeah it would on the surface break balance but wouldnt need to be nerfed either say if the german gewehr 41 and czech Zh29 were on br rather 2 or 3 then that’d be fine. Also been thinking of the idea of each faction having their own abilities like for germany, if someones squad has a radioman, then they can call in an ai light tank like a panzer 2 to back them up but theyd have to sacrifice the artillery for it. And the pz2 would equal 1 body on obj

Yes, thats something i think people can actually settle for too

Not at br1 so much when it was barely used in any year of ww2, perhaps in br3 where there’s still a 50/50 of being on early war maps with it. Also the mkb at 3 to counteract it would be sensible

While I will always advocate for BR to be overhauled historical in that it’s BR is when it was used/ made; and in fact when I play I basically tailor my loadouts to be historical. For example, I only ever use Volkssturm weapons in Berlin, and if I have something that was made in X year I will only play in matches where it makes sense

But I think they should test different BR configurations. Cmon let’s see historical BRs. We had campaigns before that seemed relatively fine with PPShs in Stalingrad and such, now we have fully human teams with more competency. Let’s see

Agreed, as the only goal for the merge was not mainly to welcome new players but to mainly bring the playerbase together to have less bot servers. But since there are people with stats showing that the merge did work in this aspect, then we can of course change BR’s to be more historical. Devs know it wouldnt hurt to try

Honestly, I could see that. Although, it would also probably make a lot of other players very angry. It would have to be handled very carefully.

I mean, devs shot themselves in the foot with this video. Ppl have a right do actually demand this now.
So no matter what devs do, someone will be (rightfully) angry.

And I’m fully ready to watch the fire burn with popcorn in my hand.

This game is balanced first and foremost on balance before accuracy as any game should be. The Americans didn’t use stock M1903s anywhere during the war, nor did they use basic M1918s yet they are everywhere in the game for the simple fact that some things need to be added to make a tech tree balanced. Likewise, the Johnson LMG and rifle despite being exclusively used in the early war are put at BR 4 for the simple reason that the US needs unlocks at BR 4. Thus, game balance always has and will always take priority over historical accuracy, and your examples of the MP 40 and Lee Enfield going down are more examples of this instead of the examples of historical accuracy taking priority as you previously seem to have thought.

Right, and they said it’ll be historically accurate so it was a scam and if I recall correctly, they can be held for false advertisement

Enlisted is a squad-based first person MMO shooter covering key battles from World War II. The game carefully recreates weapons, military vehicles and the atmosphere of that era, while demonstrating really massive clashes of numerous soldiers, tanks and aircraft with artillery and naval support.

Most of the Enlisted game modes simulate a battle involving several infantry platoons and gives the player control over a squad of soldiers with various roles (i.e. submachine gun soldier, sniper, radio operator, rifleman and others), a whole military vehicle crew or an aircraft pilot. One of the fighters is controlled directly, while others move and shoot independently following the player’s general orders. In a situation where all the soldiers in the squad have fallen, a player respawns with the next available squad. This decision makes Enlisted battles look massive and spectacular while keeping the input of each individual player in the overall team victory quite significant.

Features:

– Epic battles that look as massive as the historical battles, like the Normandy Invasion. Players assume the roles of an infantry squad or a tank crew commander or an aircraft pilot.

– High input of each player in the team victory: despite the massiveness of the battles, the result is significantly defined by the performance of each player.

– 10+ distinctive squad classes like assault, sniper, heavy gun, mortar, flamethrower, anti-tank, engineer, radio specialists, tank crews, aircraft pilots and others.

– Hundreds of weapons, ground vehicles and aircraft types. Each of them is based on a real model used in the specific historical campaign of World War II.

– A player can customize and train squads according to their individual playing style, unlock perks and upgrades as long as this does not contradict the historical accuracy principle.

by historically accurate i think they mean no call of duty vanguard customization like a red dot sight, not that gear will only show up in proper battle and no prototype or rare weapons, or no fighting as a vampire or in a pink uniform or as Michael Jordan
