We need to reduce the spread of guns

Every gun in the game has a spread
However, there are cases where it is too much to interfere with game play
The video below shows the seriousness

As you can see, he’s clearly fired a gun, but he can’t hit it because of the spread
The spread of bullets exists in reality, and it’s one of the elements of the game
However, excessive spread interferes with gameplay and may even seem rather unrealistic
For that reason, I think the in-game bullet spread should be readjusted

You are using LMG while moving so you get huge penalty to weapon accuracy.
This is literalry the worst possible scenatio.

I think they just need to almost remove dispersion because even though guns do have dispersion in real life it is not enough to be noticeable at the distances you are fighting in game. I think a better way to handle dispersion is by improving the recoil system.

Lmgs being inaccurate is nonsense.

Sure it makes no sense that people run and gun with them, still every attempt at making them bad on purpose so far had only felt incredibly “cheap”

Its like no matter what, on the brighter picture all the nerfs had logical flaws.

Less accuracy? Well mgs have to have great accuracy in order to make use of their long range support fire.

More recoil? Weapons that are heavier also have reduced felt recoil.

Right now Lmgs aren’t completely useless anymore, still without functioning bipods there is no reason to ever use them.

Duh, you were walking so you would obviously not hit your target, because despite you clearly having a perfect sight alignment you have still forgotten that you bend your barrel by over 20° each time you move your pinky toe.

Duh!

Since day one I’ve been trying to suggest devs good ways to make LMGs behave properly. I’ve made at least 10 posts talking about various ways of how to make them enjoyable and give them nice, unique mechanics.

But all I get is a spit in a face in form of vickers LMG for british paratroopers.
(Yes, I take this personally.)

They reduced the dispersion by about 20 % some time ago. I cannot find when exactly, but it was already reduced.

Then such movement should be reflected in sway not dispersion

agree 100%

And I think you should start differentiating between LMG and SMG.
When shooting with the LMG, assume a kneeling position.
Or a prone position and rest the weapon on the ground.

Each bullet then goes where you aim.

Meaningless post, its a f… lmg, what were you expecting ?
Machine guns need to be stabil
Mounted to fire without sway.
Enlisted has the worst lmg mechanicsh i have ever seen in any fps shooter literally.
Fricking cod 1 (2003) has better lmg handling than enlisted.
The real problem is; where is the proper mounting mechanic ? Im tired of using those things like minigun from doom (1993)
For more than 2 years we still dont have bipods
Also, that kind of hipfiring an mg is ridiculous anyway.
Attention the word here :“hipfire”
There is a reason why they named it hip+ fire. Lmgs have such recoil that if you use your shoulder you cant balance your body while firing unless you are stromg bodybuilder or something. Normally you have to fire as this while moving :

I think recoil, stance and movement should be all that matters for where a shot goes if it is aimed. The recoil we have now is like a constant force pushing your gun in random directions when the trigger is held, whereas it ought to be a series of pulses that don’t vary in force.

Walking with an LMG and expecting low spread?
Will turn the game even more arcadey if they remove. You’re not even supposed to be able to shoulder those and still be able to look down the sights while standing and shooting, let alone walking and shooting.

I hope OP realises this.

Everyone focused on the damn lmg when you all know it’s an issue everywhere. The g41/43 can be fucking awful most times, literally can see the bullets shoot everywhere except on target. Mkb sniper shooting at range in semi auto? There goes half your mag on one guy
Hit detection issues worsen the problem too, watch them flinch and bleed with no damage then you get one shotted :+1:t3:

The FG 42 sniper as well. And I get bad moving dispersion with LMGS but they shoot like flintlock blunderbusses even when prone & mounted on their bipods.

This nonsense is not only on machine guns, and it’s really annoying. Especially on rifles, where there are so few bullets. Well, tanks too. With the accuracy that tanks in Enlisted possess, not one of them will even be able to hit a tank from 2 km away, let alone destroy it. Absurd for the sake of absurdity.

I Think its time for another reminder that After the Vehicles have recieved their pass of love, MGs could do with some love and attention.

I agree but personally I doubt any major changes will be made. Working bipods is max (that’s good but not enough imo).

Simply because adding sth like MMG mechanics from BFV will render many premium LMG squads almost unusable for average player in the current meta.

But I’m only guessing. As always.
