We really need some actually decent AT options for the guerillas . TNT seems pretty useless against any BR III-IV tanks. Both the M4 and a KV1 seem to happily eat 2-3 TNT packs & not die. And the grayzone abusers would really deserve a M9 Bazooka or a Panzerfaust into their noob faces camping in safety from normal infantry.
Absolutely not so
You need to put it either low on the tracks/underside or on the engine deck
Regularly blow up King Tigors with TNT and those stupid things don’t want to die to anything really
And what stops the AT soldier from just camping behind the tank spawn and spawnkill any tank the moment they spawn? (or after 5 seconds when the protection runs out).
This would not make for engaging or interactive gameplay.
Or how would you counter the camper in that situation?
The tank is facing the wrong way and vision to your back in non existant.
…
What?
You don’t know how to place the tnt? The only useless thing about the tnt is when the game bugs and no matter how much you press the detonator it doesn’t explode xD
Put TNT around turret to be sure it will blow the tank up.
It doesn’t do much downwards, but it does a hell of a damage sideways so well placed TNT should be able to easily destroy any tank.
Trust me I got experience with this fighting KV-1 tanks with TNT in old Stalingrad campaign.
giving them panzerfausts would make them OP as youd have a perfect assaulter/at gunner hybrid soldier.
BUT: give them access to BR1 & BR2 at-guns (at rifles, sturmpistol etc). this keeps them balanced, makes them more fun to play & depicts them historically accurate as the most often had only light AT weapons.
Maybe if you put it on front hull?
Place tnt ON front hull is one of the best way to kill a tank
it will instant kill KV1
Fair. Though I guess in either case it’s on the armor, either on top of the hull or directly on the main hull plate.
Try to remember generally where the ammunition storage is for the tanks you’re most likely to face. That’s where you want to aim with HEAT and TNT. For blast packs; aim for the engine and/or the turret ring, and cook if for at least a seven count.
Alternatively, crawl under the tank and use either.
We should also increase Guerillas squad size and give them Pioneers - so that the game finally dies, which is what you are asking for right?
Right? I find switching to a gun then back to detonator works.
If you’re having troubles blowing tanks then just place 2 or 3 tnt packs on the side and blow all 3 at once. I find it works incredibly well on the more heavily armored. But no, the new class definitely should not get AT weapons. This is too powerful.
Well, that’s obvious skill issue. If you just randomly place your TnTs without knowledge where to place them for most effective outcome…
That’s simply only your problem. And I have no clue why guerrillas should be buffed just for the sake of compensating your skill.
I drop it on the engine deck on most things, but they hardly seem to die. They take a bad beating & lose the engine , but they need like 2 maybe even 3 charges to actually die.
Is it better to put it on the side instead of the engine deck ? I allways put my TNT on the cooling grills on top of the engine which tends to blow up pretty much any BR I-II tank with a single charge. But the KV-1 or the Jumbo just gets away with it usually losing just 2-3 crewmember & a bunch of modules.
Seeing as you are just a player who has played for more than a month
The main targets for destroying tanks are ammunition racks and fuel tanks and engines.
M4 needs to blast side ammo racks
KV1 and Tiger series need to be detonated from above
KV2 and later Soviet tanks detonated from the roof
Or you can blast the engine grille cover
Theoretically, it can definitely cause the engine to catch fire.
From personal experience, you should try to place the explosive package squarely in the ammunition rack or directly under the cab of the vehicle body.
This can effectively blast ammunition racks and kill crew members
KV1 and Tiger H can also be destroyed at once by sticking TNT behind the hood and near the ammunition rack behind the turret.
You can blow a kv1 on the side with 2 tnts at once just BTW
