Increase the number of points for killing bomber planes to 300 or more
Increase the rotation speed of the AA gun
Allow the MG nest to aim up to the sky so it can double as AA support
Make bomber planes more vulnerable to LMG fire
Remove/shorten the concussion effect for people inside a building when the area is bombed
Don’t let people in buildings die when the area is bombed (is this a bug?)
Add the ability to spot planes in the same way you can with tanks
At the moment the only hard counters to them is hoping someone on the team is a good pilot and takes them on, or that someone builds AA guns and are a good shot.
Yes, imagine if the game had an auto-kick feature for 5+ team kills in a match.
Watching them do a bombing run, then seeing the notification that they have been removed from the server, and watching the now empty plane fall out of the sky
The AA gun can hit it just fine as-is but it doesn’t do enough damage to them; planes were too fragile before but now they’re too durable.
But I still second the idea of an MG nest with AA capabilites.
Like I’ve suggested before, put the normal MG nest back in Engineer 1 where it used to be and definitely still belongs, and give Engineer 2 an HMG that can also aim up for AA
Not sure why the MG nest is so high in tier. It isnt worth it at all, the damn thing rattles off the mount if arty farts on it and bots auto snipe you off more than players do
No nerf needed to the planes or damage output potential. The issue really is not how much they do, but more of how often they do it.
The resupply points need to be about twice as far out as they are now, perhaps three times as far.
With the extra distance, and time, involved, it would not feel like kill spam and it would also give opponents a chance to shoot down the bombers with AA or fighter/attack aircraft.
Another thing is the prevalence of players simply spamming rockets/bombs on a suicide run. One way to deal with this is to put the air assets on a global timer of 1 minute following the loss of a plane to when the next can be spawned. If a pilot loses the aircraft by suicide or bailing out, then the timer delay is doubled.
Of course, these times are merely suggestions, 30 seconds might be better, but testing and time would help determine the better balance.
I think the frequency of passes a plane can make are in about the right spot. From a single plane they really aren’t very frequent and there’s a lot of time to miss opportunities in one.
Suicide runs should be a priority to solve, however, I agree.
The infantry firepower system needs to be changed to add or use an anti-aircraft system, but increasing the resupply distance means that the aircraft can only be viewed as a kill machine. I’m really sorry for the infantrymen, but the current aircraft is about one minute after the bomb is dropped. You will have time to re-arm - You will have time to enter. So many things can happen in this one minute (points can be lost or retaken, etc.) and if you don’t feel this minute, you only express regret for your skills.
But… the relentless ground firepower of the A-20, equipped with 10 Allied missiles, Thunderbolt with 500lb bombs and four 500lb bombs…
I don’t know how something can be too strong if it requires a lot of practice, I mean mainly rocket fire, plus the fact that most planes only have 4 rockets where you can kill 4-8 soldiers ( If you hit by plane, note that the team does not always give ‘V’ coordinates, so often there are empty arrows ) before you fly away from respawn and then again for ammunition it will take some 2 minutes where I am capable of any other squad at that time, you probably do at least 15 kills during these 2 minutes. So if the planes weaken, it will not make sense to kill 4-5 soldiers (statistically speaking) every 2 minutes because I fly to respawn every moment I can go out for coffee when i fly to respawn … Boring game

The game would not make sense then because you would spend more time in the air and nobody would like to play with planes because you don’t have much experience
Although that would be really funny to watch, and I would love love love to eat popcorn while watching. We can’t feasibly do that. Although if you were annoyed at enemy bombers at least they killed their push as well, and at the end of the day if it gets abused they’ll get banned anyway from the ingame complaint system.
The thing I see most is people just crashing their planes into things. That is super annoying, I think they should make crash damage 0 from doing the kamikaze thing.

It takes over a minute to resupply. In order to get an actual spam you need a number of players collaborating over some voip, where each of them will:
spawn in attacker
drop bombs
keep flying till bombs explode
suicide
next player spawns
This would still takes about 30 seconds or more for each run.
Yes, we need friendly fire enabled on pretty much every explosive weapon. Will that help with planes? No, because there is no reason to drop bomb anywhere near friendlies. There is no reason to drop bombs on points either, as typically no-one is there anyway or just one guy camping.
The bombing is done either by tank markers, visual identification of tanks or at predictable locations of the infantry. Nobody can help you if you get bombed in the same place again and again. I’ve seen multiple people, across different matches, that I’ve bombed in exactly the same place… You can hear a stuka, you can see that you or your bots where killed by bomb, switch on your brain and stop parking your bots in the same place all the time.
An example is in Moscow campaign, on Monastery (Invasion) map. On first point people keep parking their bots behind a shed and a single barn. On second point they keep parking bots inside of two barns next to each other… this just keeps going. The amount of times I’ve wiped multiple squads with just 50kg bombs at the gate is hard to count. Instead of asking for nerf, just stop being so predictable.
Its quite hard to not be predictable as there are A - B - C points where your supposed to go. Or are you suggesting we’re doing everything wrong and should instead focus on imaginary Ö and Ä points ?
wtf there is no reason? I think you are not right, if you are in an invasion and there is only one point where to go, where do you want me to go? preceivable I don’t know but that there is nowhere else to go. If the planes killed the enemies and allies to see what you say to your companions
I’ll explain what happened to me yesterday in the Normandy campaign, invasion of the ruins of vaux as an American, let’s not go beyond the first point or the second in the next game because now the Germans bombard you with their ju-188 and the 109 passed a and again bombing and killing all the equipment from the repawn to the point, tell me according to you where I get if there is no map to hide.
I think the planes need a revision, otherwise people will stop playing because you cannot attack or defend, you only die from bombs and you do not advance, and if you get mad you take out a plane and kill them again two more appear in the second.
Stop parking your bots under the same wall, as simple as that. Don’t park them where another 3 players already parked.
This is not just bombs, it’s the same with tanks, MGs and artillery. I understand that some players are still learning maps but applying some common sense is a good practice.
Having hard time semantically parsing what you wrote.
There is no reason to drop bombs next to friendlies because density of enemy there is lowest. The same with points themselves. Highest density of enemy players is 25-50 meters away from the point, where they park their bots before rushing on point or just sit there camping.
People didn’t stop playing when reloading bombs took 3 times less time. And for a change, try playing a better campaign, like Moscow, instead of cqb tripe that is Normandy
