I thought BR1 can only fight against BR1 and BR2, didnt they change that to a hardrule?

Japan is hardcore mode for veterans or serious players.
Very hard until you end up with a bunch of other vets that reached br5 as well.
Japan is fun and I love it.

I think these are players who are testing the “special offer”.
While playing in Sov BR1 I saw PPD 1944. In Ger BR1 I fought against Churchill I.

well there have been reports about BR1 players seeing BR3 for a long time now. at first leading theory was that it was bots with premium squads, but later analysis confirmed it was actual players. i guess they never fixed it to hard rule. or if they fixed it, it just came back again cause someone updated live version with old code.

Yes I have seen this one quite often. My guess is that they are bots or something. Bots get BR3 premium squads when they replace a player, I see the MG13 drum squad a lot in BR1 eastern front for instance

Can confirm have seen BR 3 players with my br 1 soviet deck
But were they really players ? I am asking because whenever I see BR3 stuff in BR1 game, it is always the same thing : premium squads like Churchill, the semi-auto lee enfield, PPD-1944, MG13 drul mag… I never actually encounter people with Tech tree BR3 stuff, but several time it was premium only
we were investigating one such report and IIRC it was confirmed player.

Okay, I gotta keep my eyes open on that then hu? might we worthy of a bug report? because last match I also specifically saw a premium Churchill - you guys seem to be on the right tracks.

Is it known if this due to stack/ playing wth friends that play BR1? Would be interesting to know if playing with friends can corrupt the MM.

I assume its this. I was playing with a group of new players when i saw the BR 3 players (friends…i know they only had beginner squads and no premium)
Sounds like a warthunder remnant. If you play as a group in warthunder you have a higher chance of being uptiered.

AFAIK that player was solo. either it is some specific bug that is almost impossible to replicate by players or it is simply case of MM working on soft rule and not hard rule.

Sound like DF has been less then honest to it’s players. 
What a shock. 
Lip service is the only consistency for Dark Force. I have seen level three weapons in matches when playing my level one allies, but since I don’t play them very often, I just ignored it since I already complain about enough other things wrong with the game. 
Take what DF tells us with a grain of salt.
How does a sniper guy get a PD1944 anyway as his secondary weapon? I always give my sniper squads secondary weapons, but they always have to be sniper rifles, I just take the scope off the second. I do have the premium PD1944 level three squad, and play it at level three. I guess he could have picked them up off the battlefield.
