BRI - BRII - BRIII shouldn't be fighting against one another in a match

So, when you queue in BRI, you fight against BRI and BRII. Makes sense. Then why in BRII I have to fight with BRI against BRIII? I just spawn in, wanting to set up a rally point and the enemy, usually the Axis, as I’m playing as the Allies these days, already have 2-3 tanks on the battlefield. Why can’t BRII play with BRIII alone? Or better, each BR plays against their own.

Sadly I think you were technically playing a BR2 to BR3 match, but youve been cursed with one of the worse types of players on your team, the people who have a single gun that ups their BR to say 2 or 3 in your case, despite the rest of their lineup being BR1.

I mean, maybe? I was referring to the line-up it mentions underneath the Join Match button. BRI-BRIII.

If you select only BR1 gears you will get BRI-II.

BRI is never supposed to be against BRIII.

However, when you play BRII, you can endup in a BRI-II match or in a BRII-III match. The rule apply for all BR it’s +1/-1.

I understand that, but underneath the START button, it still says: BR rating of this match: I-III. I have everyone in my squads on BRII. I checked 4 times. LOL

Yes because you can fight aganist BR I, II and III. As BR II you will get a BR I and II match or a BR II and III match. I dont know if I ever had a only BR II Match. But you shouldnt get a Match with BR I, II and III at the same time, they changed that some time ago.

I see, thanks. Then maybe the first replier was right, though A LOT of times I feel way outclassed in matches, but that’s probably because I’m running only one assaulter squad. Mainly because Engineers are hard to come by in matches.

there actually is a bug in the game, that makes BR1 players face BR3 trial premium units sometimes.

I quite often see Churchill tanks in BR1.

I wouldn’t call it a bug. It’s probably players who are testing “special offers” that include a mix of BR1 to BR3 lineups.

Wasnt BR1 ±1 not a soft rule anymore? still get matched with BR3 - Mess Room - Enlisted

BR 1 should not be facing BR 3 … however remember that your lineup counts only the highest BR you have equipped. So a single BR 2 item makes your ENTIRE lineup BR 2 in terms of matchfinder rules.

From my understanding the matches are as follows:

BR 1: BR 1 or BR 1-2 Lobbies
BR 2: BR 2, BR 1-2, or BR 2-3 Lobbies
BR 3: BR 3, BR 2-3 or BR 3-4 Lobbies (Minus Japan, Japan does not get 3-4)
BR 4: BR 4, BR 3-4 (Again, Minus Japan), or BR 4-5
BR 5: BR 5 or BR 4-5

Couple of notes:

Tier is not the same as Battle Rank (There are some mixing between tiers)

If in a group, it uses the highest among the party

The start button will show the range of options, (it may say BR 1 - 3 but it means BR 1-2 OR 2-3 OR just 2)

I believe eventually this will be the case. We originally had +2/-2 and DF has expanded to what it is now as they’ve become comfortable with wait times and such. So in theory, if the game continues to grow we will eventually have such.

Like the other folk said, I think this is the case of a single piece of equipment pulling people up into a higher tier.

I was playing TIII last night, got uptiered into a III/IV match and some poor sap was running as HS 123 and PZ II… had probably unlocked the Flammenwerfer and wanted to give it a try out or something, but I suspect the T-34-85s were giving him a bad day.

I actually quite like the 1up/1down system. It feels fair as (with the very notable exception of the jump from 4 to 5 where suddenly everyone has an automatic weapon) there isn’t a huge difference in equipment quality between the tiers and a decent player can definitely remain competitive. Just makes things a bit more varied - sometimes your squad have the cutting edge gear, sometimes they don’t.

BR I already doesn’t fight BR III, the only exception is paratrooper crates
