Why is there no proper matchmaking? First two matches are bots, you have fun, feel like you’re actually doing something and then you get thrown into matches against people that have T3/4/5 items and are just annihilating everything. Goes from fun and enjoyable to absolute trash real fast. This unbalanced, unfair matchmaking is BS. BR means NOTHING. I’m BR1 going against people with BR3/4 crap. WTF?
You are literally the first person that I have encountered who thinks the two first matches with bots are fun. I thought the game is completely dead back then.
Btw. I started playing the game when there was actual no MM. And I had to fight with BAs against people with ARs.
I still had the fun.

Sounds like you have some higher BR weapons in your lineup. If you’re truly BRI then you’ll only ever see BRI or BRII enemies. Remember, it takes just one higher tier weapon in a squad to up-tier you.

Had fun because I didn’t know they were bot matches until I got thrown into with people I SHOULDN’T BE PUT AGAINST. It’s not fun playing a game with no chance to win because your gear can’t compare to theirs. They give you a few matches where you think you’re doing good, only to put you against people that shouldn’t even be NEAR BR1 matches.

I LITERALLY JUST STARTED. I got NOTHING. I got taken down by someone using a M1-WTF EVER Thompson. I checked the research tab. That’s a T4/BR3 weapon

There are several Thompsons that are BR2. 
You are literally triggered by your own disillusion. MM queue for BR1 is BR1-BR2. Matchmaking does work as Intended.

That look like BR2 to you? I think you just enjoy the trashy MM so you can pad your stats against new people. Real easy to claim nothing’s wrong when it’s in your favor.

As suggested, there are BRII Thompsons available. They are part of some premium squads, but also currently available in the Battle Pass section of the shop.

This is all I have. I just started last night. I should not be going against people using shit 3 tiers above ANYTHING I have. ALSO, when you DIE the killfeed specifies WHO killed you and with WHAT. By NAME. THAT is the Thompson they were using.
Find a replay of your match against BR3 via this site Replays and link it to us so we can take a look.
We can’t see replays that are older than 1 hours (unless link is provided by player who participated in that match)

If you are BR 1 then you are only against BR 1-2 BUT I believe that if the enemy team uses paratroopers, they can get BR 3 weapons out of the supply box.
This might confuse players being in a higher BR battle (which they actually are, a little bit).

I’m not going to go through numerous replays just to find it. You think I’m lying, then make a burn account. Start new, and you’ll see for yourself very quickly. The matchmaking is unbalanced. Period. I’m getting put against people that have been in for YEARS and I only know that because I thought all the “IV” people destroying shit were in a clan together, no it’s a name cosmetic in the game for 4 year anniversary or something

Veteran players can still play lower BR matches if they have lower BR squads.

I shouldn’t be against them. That’s the point. There’s no skill based matchmaking and the Battle Rating means nothing. This is a PVP game. Competitive. Competitive games are not fun when you have no chance to win. I just started. I am outclassed in gear AND skill at this point and it’s ridiculous. I’m still getting use to the janky aiming. Can’t count how many times I’ve had the sights lined up on a target and it miss while they’re moving right towards me or standing still, or I get shafted by the game bugging the sight of my rifle to the right when I scope in. Only happened once, but I had to just kill the soldier because aiming was impossible.
Literally reward for 2 month old event.

I dont know about this particular case with a Thompson.
But recently I watched gameplay from Titah.
It was supposed to be a battle USA BR 1 but I noticed there was a MG 34 (BR 3) in the game.
(I’m gonna assume here that Titah had a correct BR 1 line up)
Ppl also wrote it in the comments, somebody wrote “M38 para squad can get MG34” from the box.
So a low BR para squad getting BR 3 weapons into BR 1-2 battle.

Again make sure you check all your soldiers to see if they have a higher BR rating. I remember first starting to out and when I unlocked a new weapon or gained one from the event that was going I, I equipped it to my soldiers thinking none the less. This is an intricate game that takes TIME and effort to master. You truly need at least 50 battles under your belt until you start to get a feel for how to win and team play effectively.
