Wall penetration

Previously, regular weapons like rifles could penetrate thin walls made of weak material like wood, and the bullet could penetrate them and deal damage to the enemy. However, after update 0.4.1.49, it seems like all weapons have been nerfed and they can’t even penetrate a thin sheet of wood. Which is a huge downside to the game because it affects both the realism and the playability, since for example, a thin wooden fence could completely block a bullet.
Can the penetration system get reworked to be more realistic to include bullet deflection and damage drop and to also penetrate thin metal sheets (I don’t remember this being a thing before)? If this nerf was because of the Pacific campaign, then there are way better solutions than to entirely nerf down all weapons.
Thank you!

It should, ik being penetrated trough wooden walls sucks, but some high calibre guns should be able to do just that, as for the small arms, have those go trough thinner stuff like wooden garden walls or planks.

A balance has to be struck, you can’t turn 180 and call it a day, that is basically the concept of running away. The option to disable all penetration was taken just beacuse of that so that the devs could focus on something else and simply put this one on hold. Indirect D move if u ask me but I am no priority specialist.

A forum helper said they will rework the penetration value of different materials.

However the date of the rework is not specified.
