Vitality perk IS ruining the experience

It also helps you win fights when you turn the corner with SMGs or LMGs. Most of my experience with it is in the CQC of Berlin where people are spamming FG 42 IIs and PPShs.

Agreed about the bots though. Would really like less of the pot shots through the grass/trees bs they do.

I think he missed and shot your arm instead…
I noticed bullets shot in the back are always instant kills, not just downing, but straight up kills provided the shot hits center mass and not limbs.

Strangely enough, a FRONTAL shot is more likely being survived

I’d like to find info about hitboxes somewhere, what damage % multiplier each body part has. We know head has a big multiplier, limbs have reduced ones, but I’d be curious to learn how much % a back shot does.

Fun fact:

Just a day PRIOR to the shotgun buff, I happened to catch an unaware German from the back while wielding a Winchester in Normandy. I was 5-6m behind him.

I went for a quick shot to the high torso /head and, to my surprise, he was just downed, AND a cascade of sparks sprinkled out of his helmet.

Could helmets/body armour actually provide protection from buckshots?

It’s really getting me curious, now.
Let’s take the Russian assaulters in Berlin with their armour plate. Supposedly it could stop weak pistol rounds (or at least reduce damage)… buckshot have very very weak penetration value and instead rely on stoping power. Will the plate protect a bit from the Drilling Germans have?

I wish we could find such info somewhere.

I think ive got 2 assaulters with 16 vitality out of 15.

We can join a custom game room and test it. It might be interesting.

I also noticed that bots (AI players) are tanking one semiauto shots even in close range, like they have vitality boost. Idk, maybe I’m wrong, but who knows.

HLL players were getting this info by battle tests, we can do the same. But as I remember, head is x2, body including arms is x1 (arm shots are one of the best parts of this game lol), and legs are x0.75, but I might be wrong.

okay let me now post some random dude who hit its ankle and died on the spot.

getting shot by a bullet is devastating, and surviving it will either mean you got more luck than you will ever have in your life ever again.

I swear to god, ppl like you would go to army and get shot just to brag about it.

Well this is game supposed to be fun.

Quite many people actually survive gunshot wounds.

well its ticket to coolguys club

@GeneralBrus and @120897123 please don’t spin this off into an episode quoting quarrel.

People tent to ignore that ā€œgetting hit by gunfireā€ is an extremely variable concept, since depending on a myriad of factors, the involved kinetic trauma in terms of Joules can span from a few dozens to even thousands, without even considering the type of ammunition.

I’m sure that digging into archives would provide plenty of example of both extremes: people surviving supposedly lethal hits, and other people dying for unlucky ā€œminorā€ hits in critical spots.

It’s kinda like with car crashes, there’s almost always a chance factor.

Still, I think that lethality in game is currently acceptable, considering that it wouldn’t be fun to be downed or otherwise incapacitated even by the slightest hit.
