The fact that cosmetic hammers are a potential unlock from the loot boxes is the most absurd thing ever. I don’t even have a problem with not getting to choose what I get, I just have a problem with hammers being there as rewards to begin with. Swords and pistols are bad enough, but hammers? C’mon…C’mon.

Also, when someone quotes how “other people” do things, my response is, " So what." I don’t care how other people do things. Other people typically do things at a sub-standard level, so I’m not interested in following that trend. I’m more interested in looking for real solutions to real problems

Except for one thing, Gaijin gains nothing by doing this. Silver is a free currency that can be earned by playing the game or cannibalizing your reserves.

When people receive new squads (event for example) they need to re-roll perks for silver and add grenades, pistols, ets. This all takes silver. When they receive new TT items they need to upgrade and kit these squads. This takes silver So, DF wants you to NOT have vast amounts of excess silver so that you have to play regularly and continuously.

I’ve heard some people say that they were using this veteran box thing as a means to “suggest” to players to make silver purchases using IRL currency or to make them purchase a premium account.
