Last invasion we lost at the last objective where only 3 of us had any caps on the leaderboard. I like to sit back, especially on D day, yet my cap was when I just walked onto the objective and capped it with no resistance and no teammates.
It’s unfortunately the same problem as War Thunder- you have to play around your braindead teammates instead of doing what you think is best.
tank speed isn’t the problem. I’ve had more than one battle where I’ve sat on a completely empty objective with my tank and went a minute or 2 with no enemies showing up and no teammates moving to cap.
I get that, but agree to disagree on the tank speed, I just dont want as much of the fight to be focused on destroying a tank as it is, its hard enough to get one objective with no team, let alone fight off an infinite number of tanks.
Fair enough, I am simply saying tanks shouldnt be able to move around as quickly and easily as they can right now, they are huge heavy machines in mud half the time, they shouldnt be doing 0-60 in 0.3 seconds
Well what you DON’T under that not all tanks are the same, the pumas you talked about aren’t even a tanks it’s a IFV. Of course light tanks and IFVs can be faster and do everything easily they are pretty much cars with guns. Then we move to medium tanks that becomes less capable against infantry but more against tanks and it keeps going.
Bomber class exists.
Cooking your explosive pack and aiming it properly exists.
Heck even AT cannons exist from engineer.
Not being able to deal with tanks as infantry is a lack of skill, not a lack of tools.
No matter whether you own the bomber class or not, or whether you think the AT cannon is usable or not, not being able to just cook your explosive pack and not miss the throw is just a sign of you being a newbie.
I assume by bomber class you mean AT squad right? If so then yeah ive only just unlocked it now, at campaign level 8, thats wayyy to long to go without a solid AT squad.
Yeah and I do that, but if, like in my original comment, they dont stop moving unless they are in their spawn, what can i do?
You all keep saying its all down to my skill. I have no problem killing tanks, when i set out to kill tanks, if every game you have to kill all the enemy tanks before being able to progress past the first capture point then I think thats a problem, especially seeing as tanks are unlimited and its difficult enough already to get the objective done.
I dont really want to have to play a mini-game of chase and destroy the tank every time i play enlisted, seeing as there are a few solid tank-focused games out there, I feel as though tanks shouldnt be such a game changing factor in Enlisted.
If you just want to cap a point, just walk around the tank. Their field of vision is extremely narrow.
Tanks spawns aren’t really unlimited as each player needs to die twice as infantry until they can spawn a tank again.
Tanks are unable to capture points or be a permanent way of locking down an area. They must keep moving to not get easily killed by infantry, while staying outside the line of sight of enemy tanks. They actually have very little impact on the battle as a whole.
We need better infantry weapons so tanks can’t be less powerful. But the biggest issue now is that some tanks are too fast so armour isn’t an issue.
Just shoot the panzer 3N to the turret and it’s out
I think there is NO vehicle imbalance right now
The only exception being Puma because it’s unreasonably faster than irl conditions and it’s damage model is broken
remember people the damaged models of vehicles are not fully working, also the rounds that we use in tanks in war thunder like panzer 3 n would have died from a Sherman gun hitting its turrent soo yeah i think damage done right now is not properly working.
