the aa-spam is getting ridiculous and with infantry squads you most of the time cannot do shit about them. take away the shield that the gunners are at least not completely impervious to danger.
It can suck to be down range of them, but the gunners are very easy to kill even with the shield.
Even with a rifle…
all devs have to do is just reduce angles that point down, no more AA camp

I find the gun shield protective area very janky. Sometimes it seems to block shots even in the transparent “not shielded” area. Also shooting them with rifle at long range is not easy.
P38 and P47 spam is already enough suffering for me
Nonsense. A single full engineer squad can throw 12 aa guns without the perks.
You cannot spend the whole game babysitting the various enemy engineers because it’s a game of whack-a-mole. You blow up one gun, a minute later he has a new one, better positioned vs. you also if he is smart. They should also be 1 shot with tank gun, HE or otherwise.
Surprise-surprise, punching such moles along with MG and sniper nests is task for tank, not fighting another tanks miles away (little exaggeration) from main front, not trying to escape from aboooosed avengers with dumbpacks, but doing it’s job and covering team. Another class-another task you know. And all that is missing for tank is HE stability, team coverage, less AirTank Guided Missiles (it’s about flying suicides) and maybe radioman turret for covering hull a bit. At least something of bigger IQ, than bugthunder
If you wanna lecture me about the purpose of tanks, you can skip the excercise as we are talking about a game where engineers pull aa guns out of their asses and put them where-ever they want (including inside buildings). So spare me of that crap, thanks.
We can have that reasonable discussion the moment the aa-gun arrives by lorry and requires the squad to set it up from there (consider that the aa-guns dont have travel mounts, I guess this assembly should take 6 man team good 30 mins). Once destroyed, they can then fetch a new one with a different lorry.
I am in favor of better more period/faction and campaign specific AA guns though.
i don’t care about what is realism in your mind, i talk about how to fight concrete classes which may be annoying at times. if you don’t want lectures, then deep forest with no internet is probably place where you can live. AA killing some target except planes is normal, normal because there are some ways of illiminating it, which should be just fixed to the good
try use anti tank rifles, also. a well aimed bolt action rifle bullet should kill the gunner.
I’ve never really had trouble with AA guns, a simple well placed grenade or det pack usually takes care of them, or using a tank, or using a anti-tank weapons, or using a mortar… there’s plenty of ways to take out a AA gun, especially since it takes a good minute to set one back up

When you mount a AA gun you get extra health for some reason. I shot a guy with a BA within 30m since the buff and got a white hitmarker, which means jumping on an AA gun gives more health to your guy.
Yes and no.
In fact, it creates a “wall” of sort around your character.
You know when you shoot through a window at someone? Before the window breaks, that shot will cause diminished damage to the target, some of it’s strenght got absorbed.
Or like when shooting through wooden walls.
It’s very interesting thought. The aa is considered as a vehicle, that surrounds the player.

I mean I’m legit standing behind the gun shooting the man in the back. The shield is on the absolute other side.
