"Unrealistic Realism": ammo counter

Enlisted is definitely isn’t a realistic game. Guns have dispersion like nerf blasters. Reloads are 2x times faster than it should be (So I cant ask for tacticool reloads). Soldiers have perks to decrease recoil to 60%.

But for some absurd reason, devs decided to add magazine system instead of general ammo pool. And make ammo counter that doesn’t shows ammo in different mags.

Suggestion 1 (arcade and simple): for mags/clips add system like this

But player still can exactly number of rounds in the gun.

Suggestion 2 (realistic and more complex):
For reserve mags same solution as in suggestion 1. For gun ammo 2 solutions.
Low capacity guns (rifles/semis/pistols):

Large capacity guns (SMGs, ARs, MGs) (can be replaced with box/drum icon):

What does ammo counter you are suggesting have to do with reload speed

Fourth option:

None of your suggestion is garbage, yet I’m not too fond of either… I got used to harder games where you soldier could not know how many bullets was left in magazines, and with good reasons! How could you know how many bullets you just fired with precision with your ppsh41?

Instead, one thing I really like that is still realistic without being too hardcore is magazine weight. Your soldier could know if the mag is heavy = full, half empty… etc.

But since there’s ammo count already it wouldn’t work. It only would if the total ammunition pool number would get replaced by magazine count…

Is the top one from battlebit? They have a good ammo counting system, and even better they allow you to combine partially used magazines together once you go thru the animation, which I think would fit in nicely in Enlisted.

It’s already hard enaugh with ghost bullets, or one extra reapearing just when You thought You emptied the magazine.

It’s a no with current potato servers for me

As an old player of Red Orchestra 2, I would love it and it would totally fit in with the game.

It were my personal complaints, ammo counter I’m suggesting is simply to deal with separated mag system.

But separated mag system is already implemented, I’m suggesting visualization on client side.

If it’s not replacing numerical ammo count then idc.
Could be helpfull for some, i’m used to remembering or just using whole magazines.

As I understand, number of ammo in each mag is a list of lists and it constantly passed from server to your PC and back.
On the other side, showing summed number or number in each mag or showing icons is a work of your machine, not a server.

Thats what I do now, but isn’t it stupid?

It kinda is, but i do it because guns when dropped have magazines with least ammo, so if You have no mags with little ammo You can pick up to 2 full magazines. (or at least one full)

Also leaving like 3-5 ammo on most guns is pointless anyway, not like You can find a moment to get Your bullets into single mag.

Just let us repack mags

Also the game doesn’t properly keep track of mags left, it’s just if you have 7/6 it will become 6/7 when you reload.
