"Unrealistic Realism": ammo counter

It makes sense to me that your weapon is equipped with a magazine that has 7 rounds in it, and you only have a magazine with 6 rounds left in your pack. Now you choose to load your weapon, then your soldier will load that 6 round one on the gun and put away the one with more rounds.

This suggestion / observation is about as old as the playable version of the game. It’s been said many times that they should either make a unified pool of ammo or clearly and unambiguously visualize the magazines.

They could also go even further and implement the ability to add +1 round in the chamber and differentiate the reload animation based on whether you’re reloading an empty magazine (although weapons with that capability were not too numerous during WW2).

And yet there were virtually no changes in this area in two years since release. Not even the basics are ever fixed. For example, weapons that reload with multiple clips still go for the full reload even if you only have one clip left.

I see only one way to implement this - suggest to slow down reloads to 0.66 speed at least.
First - it allows more players notice imperfect animations
Second - it allows to add tactical reload with dropping a mag (but you can’t refill ammo if you haven’t picked it back)
Third - it allows to add chambered round mechanic and faster reload for it.
