Turn Motorbikes into personal spawn points

Since the merge and especially release of the Trucks, APCs, Universal Carriers Motorbikes and patatroopers motorbikes had become a way less attractive squad to put into your lineup.

APC/UC right now:
*can resist small arms fire
*can spawn your squad mates automatically
*can provide superior firepower with mgs or/and a cannnon
*can park them behind enemy lines to have flanking route to the objective

PS LVT(A)(1) should be turned into APC.

Paratroopers right now:
*doesn’t need to waste time on driving and dying just to get to his favorite spot
*can build remote flanking rallies
*can storm capture points

*Motorbikes:
*can’t survive enemy fire
*can’t spawn squad mates
*can’t spawn yourself
*has poor firepower
*can only build rallies after you safely drive and park your loud bike
*has limited squad size

As you can see Motorbikes are completely inferior when compared to APC/UC and even paratroopers that don’t need to waste time getting to X spot to build the rallies.

That’s why my suggestion is to give Motorbikes personal spawn point that could be used only by you and your squads it will give them unique perk that will be exclusive to the bikes, they will still retain ability to build rally points.

It takes way longer to drive to your spot where you want to build rally when compared to using paratroopers that can get there in a fraction of a time, that long activity should be rewarded and not punished especially since it’s much easier to wipe out motorbike squad vs the Paratroopers or even UC.
That way game will not have just a single universal meta that you have to utilize every time without thinking, older squads should get upgraded and be useful in a current meta, so we could have multiple ways of playing how we want. Right now nobody is using motorbikes so give us some incentive to do so.

I think it’s good, I would even like it to work as an apc for the entire team, with a longer time to appear, and allowing anyone on the team to drive it

Mine already is :stuck_out_tongue:
Just stick a Engineer with squad.

Paratroopers are faster at doing exactly that and are much safer since you won’t explode instantly while driving a single bike, hence my suggestion you need some incentive to pick bikes that take a long time to get there over paratroopers jumping out of space warping plane that can build rallies within 20secs.

Give you a race :stuck_out_tongue:
idk about your bike, but mines zips along quite nicely, i don’t seem to have the issue others had with controlling it
But for sure making it spawn, could be cool as well

You can drive enemy motorcycles. I’d assume that the same goes for friendly.

On one side, it seems strange that a 2-3 seat vehicle would act as a spawn point for a squad of up to 9.

On the other side, if its only for personal spawns, I could see players using it in an attempt to greed for kills, rather than support their team to attempt the win.

As far as allowing anyone on the team to drive it, this mechanic I feel would cause a lot more issues than it would help. As players jumping into it would move it away from its intended location. (which is exactly why I turned off the ability for non-group players to jump into my tanks for example).

I do agree that a new niche needs to be found for the motorcycles, but I’m not too sure that copying the APC capabilities is the right fit.

Weren’t Motorcycles used a lot for recon in WW2? Perhaps lean into that aspect instead. Make them used to provide some kind of recon or even to hunt down APCs. (which right now are often more effective than rally points because once parked, they don’t give any audible indicator that they are there!)

Additionally I’d like to point out just how difficult it is to use the weapon and drive at the same time with them. Perhaps make the gunner able to operate with AI aim, while the player focuses on driving, making it much more effective for passes on enemy troops.

Giving them the ability to hunt APCs and Radio Operators (because both could make a noise)

Or just give them armored cars

Look it would probably be unbalanced, but…

By all mean yes, because I love bikes! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This is a really good idea i must say.

I would be satisfied with the improvement in their grip on the road. The motorcycle is supposed to provide you with good flanking, you can’t do it when your motorcycle flips left and right like crazy

This doesn’t reflect reality whatsoever.

Guess it a console thing then, because i don’t seem to have problems.

It literally is, console is a major skill issue as we don’t get a lot of your guy’s controls. Now I’ve not driven bikes a lot but they’ve seemed annoying so to drive so far. It might just be you and not a platform difference.

personally, i don’t like bikes being a respawn point.

i rather give armored cars and light anti infantry / AA vehicles to riders and make them act as a fast response team or protect APC and be a mobile mg / slighlty armored fast vehicle for mobile defence / quick suppression vehicle.

perhaps with the addition of being able to have ammo crates / munition crates attached to the vehicles ( like a kettenkrad etc )

to diversify the gameplay. and not make everything the same thing.

( would avoid needing a third class for when 222s, m3 scout cars, ba-60s etc armored cars will be introduced… )

So what do you expect the current bike to do?
They’re just a goofy squad of two members (usually engineers and ATs), slightly more stealthy than paratroopers, but often shot by random AI, bumped into and stuck in obstacles
Paratroopers and the APC have basically taken away any reason to use bike squads

Nothing.

They will suffer the same fate as aircraft with a fuel tank.
No new ones will ever be added. And devs will act as if there never was such a thing in the first place.

shoot from afar, ( cuz mg with 0 dispersion and no overheat it’s actually great )

flank to place a fast rally, secure landzones of friendly para ( as well as fasly deal with enemy paras as they land ) and / or defend apcs or tanks from explosive packs users.

even cut enemy reinforcements from the flanks.

doing these tasks usually works for me.

as it goes for the free to play, they could use the 3 seater bike.

p.s. the gunner is immune to AI targeting. not the driver though. and it’s best to peak with the gunner while the driver is behind a building and engage.

That content creep reminds me of the Warframe where they put dozens upon dozens of new content with new systems to the game that is separated from the rest and then never touch them again. It’s been happening countless times and will still happen in future.
