Do something about first tanks in Tunisa. There’s nothing good about this balance. The italian tank doesn’t have any mg and not even HE for its canon while M3 grant has 2 canons, a turret, HE and mg.
And I was literally spawnkilled by a M3 10 min ago, after three second I spawned, couldn’t do anything since I was flanked by that M3, how can you tell me this is balance. Thanks god this is only beta.
A rule of thumb and I’m guilty of this myself. Please resists going immediately to the forums after you have had a bad experience .
Right after something like this we all want to call for change which normally is not the best time to call for change. My suggestions is to cool off … Play a few more games and truly evaluate what you feel needs to be done …
Maybe you will come to the same conclusion or maybe you will realize that what happened was just a fluke … Why were you spawn killed ?
… Is spawn protection not working? …
… Did the enemy tank have an unfair advantage because of some map problem ?
… There could be any number of reasons why this happened other than the tank needs to be changed …
I know this but still. War thunder included an mg on the Semovente but not Enlisted. I accept that tanks between nations may not be equal, just look at the Panzer II and T-60 on Moscou. but I think the gap between the Semovente and M3 Grant is big. However I still know the Semovente is playable. But honestly this gap takes me away from playing the axis tank on Tunisia, feels it is not worth it
the gap is heavy on this I agree with you but the fault lies only in the fact that Italy had not invested in tanks in the pre-war period so there is a huge gap between the Italian and English armored divisions
the p40 is the only decent italian tank but I don’t think it will see the light in the campaign of tunisia hopes for a panzer3M that was also used by the regio esercito and also is present in war thunder italian tanks
Yup, I’ve abandonned the idea to get on the forum many many many times, but yeah this time I didn’t
I’ve played Tunisia since yesterday. At first I had a mixed feeling about it but later in the day I managed to understand how to play them, so I know to keep going till it gets better.
But as a main tanker on Moscou, between the fact that the italian tank is very very weak & the fact that Tunisia has some spawn spots that are easy to farm kills for enemies, more than other campaigns in my opinion, it gets very frustrating. Don’t forget we pay a lot for not much when it’s closed beta like this, so that is even more frustrating.
But overall you’re right, should not post as soon as I’ve got a problem, not very mature.
Spawn protection doesn’t work for vehicules as far I remember.
My tank spawned in front of a building so I had no cover when spawned, and the enemy went as close as possible to our spawn, but flanked us. That was very weird.
I would not worry as soon as the logistics with the squads comes out this is likely this to be the base tank and m3 the mid game tank

… There’s NO NEED for tanks to always be equal, as long as the WHOLE faction’s overall strenghts balance out. One side could have better tanks, the other better infantry… etc.
Also… the Tiger is coming in Tunisia. That thing by itself won’t really have a contender, as however “tanky” (lol) the Churchill might be, it won’t be able to counter tigers… asymmetrical balance again, and that’s fine. 🤷
As for the grant vs Italian spgs concern: the spg can open up the Grant with ease. BUT, it has no mg and very low versatility, whereas the Grant can multi task. Not equals if you ONLY take the main gun into account, but balanced if you take the whole picture in consideration.
Meh, it also costs a whopping 50$ to HELP TEST (!) A beta campaign… And since progression is locked… It doesn’t matter much wich side CURRENTLY possess the best this and the worst that.
