After they implement this, be my guest, right now it would be just a nerf. That vehicle is competetive, it is SPG/TD and in its role it is great, it can easily kill any tank. And friendly Armored vehicles are there primarly for killing enemy tanks, than to kill infantry tbh. Because try to do something when enemy tanks are killing friendly infantry when your own armor just pursue only infantry too, you wont get anywhere.
I would rather use Italian vehicles too, as they are my favorite of WW2, but there will be Germans, and i will still use Semovente.
You want to improve it, but there is really nothing that could significantly help it to be better. You can give it HE, but it wont turn that into some new killing machine, same as MG, that will be almost useless unless you want to lose your commander/gunner really fast.
Smoke launchers i hope will never be in game, as i know WT too much to want this, and it would be just a bad thing.
G41, G41m, Johnson rifle, Kbsp wz.38M a many others have still bugged reload that put 10 bullets anyway to the gun even if you shoot 1 bulet … this problem still remains even if Erika maked topic about this, and its more than one year old …
But those improvments are either insignificant (MG) or just a nerf, as it needs those APHE shells much more, they kill infantry and dont need to be split betwen 2 types of shells.
As i said already, in its role as SPG/TD it is great, it can pretty much OHK Cruisers and Daimlers and has no problem with Grant. Dont compare it with Grant, as Grant is TANK and not SPG, soo it has better weapons vs Infantry.
Semovente is competetive. saying it is not is just false.
Tbh, i get better performance with G41 than with AG39.
I haven’t tried it so I can’t say it but focusing on the statistics except for the shots in the barrel are the same.

Its more about tha G41 has better sights, at least for me and those 4 shells before reload helps too tbh. But everyone has better performance with different guns.
To be honest I stay clear of that mess. It’s by far the campaign the most people complain about, it’s a bomb fest, full of prime ameriboos vs werhaboos mains both. It sounds disgusting the more I hear about it…
there is bloke who keeps saying ale over again and again and again and again that mg on SV would be situational… so thats fine, more historically accurate it would be … i want that mg and sandbags … about those shells i think even HE shell from semovente could penetrate grant at certains spots where even armato can
It is still only 75mm HE, it wont penetrate Grant, especialy not on places that M13/40 cant penetrate. Even Jumbo now cant do shit with HE against Puma, and that has lower armor than Grant. HEAT would have better penetration performance than APHE we curently have, but that is something else than you have been talking about.
