So when it comes to lootboxes on this game it sound like a cool idea at first dont you think? like play a little bit the magical game of letting ur fate to the % and see if that algorithm smile to you in order to give you anything good well that could be a perfect dream and even more when it comes to the fact that lootboxes were a gift made for veterans rigth???

Sadly when everything is on the hands of Gaijin the things just turn into a nonstop train going as fast as possible out the freaking rails and let me explain that behind the cover that the lootboxes were quite expensive cuz were supposed to drain the mountains of silver that veterans have but something dont fits on the equation, the boxes gives u old event squads and weapons along some copy pasted vehicles and decals as possible rewards but lets focus on squads first, im 90% sure that veterans alredy got almost everysingle event squad on the game and well most of event squads are not worth tbh (with that i mean that it doesnt have anything extremely “special” from regular stuff), then we got decals that are not interesting same as vehicle skins that have no sense since is literally same vehicle with a different skin unless u like to collect that why would u like to get those stuff??? that most u can get by free on TT

Then we got weapons which have the interesting mechanic of having no limit of how many u can get and here is a little trap “no limit” which not only veterans but all players got incentives to start gambling to get as many stingers they consider enough

And the rubbish no one wants boosters boosters and more boosters that curse you in everysingle way along decal orders and little amounts of silver that are not worth to get since u spend more than what You get back

Also the fact that the “%” of getting something decent are low as hell oh wait it gets Even worse if You get a weapon You can get a stinger or… a pistol with a skin (that btw pistols are the stuff that mainly You’ll get along swords when it comes to weapons)

And when it comes to vehicles the chances are Even lower and tbh is even less worth it You know? Cuz are just copypasted stuff with a couple of decals (that now im not Even bothering on explaining how useless decals are…)

Oh for the surprise of NO ONE boosters (curses) are what You Will get almost everysingle time worst of all it’s not Even 500% boosters no no 50% bro take it or fuck you

Talking again abt of squads their chances are the lowest and You can just pray for not getting squads with absolute hilarious mechanics like radio man with rocket artillery

The prices of the boxes are another thing that makes this nasty move Even nastier literally kills any F2P player economy and is insanelly hard to recover what You have spent by just playing games and praying since the silver gain is stingy as hell forcing most players to Buy silver/premium/BP or suffer Even more
And with the many traps that the boxes + the gambling addiction You develop seems that if You want to enjoy the look boxes You must spend money on this Game which cleary shows how desesperated Gaijin is to make profits with literally everything… I wouldnt be surprised if in a near future we’ll need to pay silver in older to repair our guns/Buy bullets and granades

You know worst of all? Is not how gambling affect You, is not how nasty the lootboxes work to ruin your economy and force You to Buy silver

Is the fact that slowly this community is accepting gambling as something normal (with all the nasty stuff it have such as the possibilities and the decoys it have ) and starting to ignore the lack of content we are getting and how this Game is getting forgotten by it’s developers and they just prettend to be paying attention to us by droppping useless events,discounts and overall lootboxes for drain the ppl soul…

But well thats just My personal opinion of how the lootboxes are and how gambling is not helping this community

They are too costly for what you get, they should cost half as much (2500 silver), and there need to be pity with guaranteed weapon/squad/vehicle after 30 rolls

Yeah, because game is literally forcing you to buy lootboxes. It’s simply impossible to ignore them as F2P player. Because they’re definitely not just optional stuff.

I really hate when people are trying to lecture other people what they should and shouldn’t accept. And how they should or shouldn’t spend their free time.

This whole topic is prime example of what term Gaslighting means.

I mean… it’s the only way to get stuff like (f2p) paratroopers or assault engineers. And some ppl (me included) thought the purpose of this whole feature was to allow new players to catch up.
Well, it turned out to be a money sink for vets :clown_face: Kind of disappointing imo but I guess we got used to this.

My biggest issue is the chances and prices. In order to get a guaranteed squad (which may not even be guaranteed at all), you would have to buy 100 boxes, which is 500,000 silver. I mean like who, other than Quadro and other content creators, actually has that money? Not to mention, it’s kinda useless as they get most premiums for free as part of their gaijin partnership anyway.

Besides the sarcasm i’m sure that a Lot of ppl would fall into the gambling stuff Even if is optional the curiosity and the disire makes You fall into the trap

Ok i alredy mentioned this is a personal view rigth? And i’m sure that You have spent lots of money into the Game You have plenty lots of silver and u can get more if You wanna to maybe thats why u can’t understand what i’m saying that the way that lootboxes we’re implemented Made a problem

The first iteration of lootboxes was literally labeled as “veteran”.

So I really don’t know what few individuals did expect.
To just give all players every past event reward for free? To completely devalue the efforts of all players who participated in past events?

I have no clue why people who literally never supported the project should be treated like a kings.

We’re not asking to be treated any better. But the loot boxes are just too unbalanced. If they just brought back the old events on rotation or had them as rewards in the battle pass (unpaid), then it would be much fairer as then we could unlock the squads just like they did.

Because that’s how it was teased. As a way to get past event etc. rewards. And ppl thought that’s for ppl who missed those events or haven’t played it back then. This misunderstanding of the function of the box is 100% fault of the devs as they did NOTHING to explain or otherwise correct players to what it is and how it works. Giving ppl correct information to form correct expectations (and get excited/hyped about them) is like the main goal of devblogs or more generally the marketing department.
As always when it comes to enlisted, expectations lead to disappointment.

But I really don’t want to waste time with this debate. I said what I think about this topic. And I see it as prime example of gaslighting.

For example this:

Just because some people are excited about totally optional offer in shop. Doesn’t mean they’re immediately blind to all problems the game have.

That’s the only thing I wanted to point out. I really don’t like it.

But the Main point of the post is for actually talking abt the direction that lootboxes have Taken it was supposed to drain mountains of silver but now it seems that is taking a direction where is motivating more ppl to gamble (Even if they can’t affort the cost of it) ofc You can just ignore it but i think that this Will eventually get harder knowing how Gaijin is

No, it wasn’t. That’s why it was literally called Veteran boxes.

It was literally teased from day one as a way for people to spend their excess currency. Which was compounded by the fails of the merge (like buying a huge number of high tier soldiers before the merge, and then selling them for many times their value after the merge).

That this was meant to targeted at some f2p players that don’t have enough currency is total nonsense you just made up.

And I have no idea where you got that idea. Because it doesn’t really make any sense.

Giving exclusive content worklessly to people who had no skin in the game. Content that other people had to pay for or invest time in.

You’d end up just pissing off the people who actually actually support your game.

They weren’t called veteran boxes. Just some mysterious “way to obtain previous event rewards”, “soon”.
Lack of communication (as always) lead to ppl drawing wrong conclusions (again) that ultimately lead to disappointment. Average Tuesday in enlisted.
